    Of course it’s relevant.  3 overs an hour is about an hours play lost over a whole day.  Over rate and entertainment are not mutually exclusive. It’s possible to have both. If fans are paying over £100 for tickets should they just accept losing 15-20% of the game? Test match cricket needs to help itself as it has stiff competition with other forms of the game. Teams used to bowl 14-15 overs an hour and now they bowl 11-12. It’s completely unnecessary.

    Not really. He’s a good option but if he is too injured to bowl he will always be in the team for his batting.  He’s a batting all rounder rather than a bowling all rounder

    16 overs in 80 minutes.  They have to start banning the captain or giving penalty runs. Fining them makes no difference.  Umpires should be able to award 1 run penalty for every ball not bowled under 14 overs in an hour.
