    England Squad

He's the leader of his own fan club that guy. Wouldn't call him up ever again.
  2. Other fans can choose whatever the hell they want to do with their time. If they don't want to spend money to watch mediocrity on the pitch and feel they aren't being entertained they can take their attention elsewhere. I find it a chore watching us, and have over the last few months started thinking about what else I could do with that spare time on a Saturday afternoon and it seems far more appealing than going to Ashton Gate. A lot of fans travel a long way to come and watch us and don't just live around the corner from AG as well, I guess they better belt up and continue going, spend a fortune of fuel, public transport and also parking just to watch absolute mediocrity. Your support is just pure blind tribalism and the club are not immune to criticism from its fans.
  3. Fair play to you. I've seen your posts on OTIB for a while about staying away and you were ahead of the curve I have to say.. I won't be renewing for 2024/25, not because of the money but out of protest to how the club is being run. I preferred the old Ashton Gate too and find the overall matchday experience now very watered down and dull. I think this is what the fat cats wanted and have no ambition for us to really kick on. Hopefully they sell up soon and things change.
  4. Very pissed off. It's sad I feel such apathy towards a club I love. It feels a shadow of it's former self.
  5. Not renewing.. Entertainment is on the down. Overall football experience is poor. Prices of getting food/drink is extortionate. Getting to Bristol from Wiltshire is an absolute shitshow (not the club's fault). P&R takes forever to get back to Brislington. No faith in the management of the club. We are treated as customers. Hate the pre match crap spouted by Downsy. A real air of arrogance about the club that I have grown to resent. Will go on a few occasions from next season and watch from afar on Robins TV. It's just not worth the money until the Landowns leave the club and we get some professionals back in.
  6. My biggest fear is Jon Lansdown becoming overall owner of the club. He is at the heartbeat of everything wrong at City. He's like a child.
  7. Maybe if we win the U18 FA Youth Cup and display the trophy at the HPC it will make prospective buyers want to up their payment to buy us..

I think he's a great motivator and has a brilliant understanding of footballers at a lower league level. Miss him here to be honest.
  9. Seems to be tinpot things being farted out by the club on a weekly basis at the moment. I await the 20 year anniversary shirt of the Hartlepool win for our last game in May.
  10. This was my immediate thought
  11. Aw they want a little trophy to show at the 'HPC' isn't that cute
  12. We've won a game. Post it!
  13. Ran by absolute amateurs. They're the types who try to be 'different' in the friendship group but you end up just face palming and cringing at their antics. Maybe some day professionals will run us like a Football club and not some stupid PR stunts.
  14. My theory - They had always planned on any excuse of a bad run this season to get rid of NP so they didn't do a team photo until they got their boy in. Find it strange Twine is in the photo when he has made 1 match and Weimann is elsewhere.
  15. Already posted on X earlier. We're a really odd club at times.
  16. Well yeah. What was the point in getting rid of Pearson?
  17. Maybe the replacements were not very good so they admitted that and sacked the manager? Grass isn't always greener.
  18. Maybe they should never have got rid of Tony Mowbray (their version of Nigel Pearson) In the first place and they wouldn't of had to make more managerial changes?
  19. I wouldn't say our fanbase is fickle, at all actually. We're a mid tier club in terms of English football. We have very similar sized clubs around us in the League (Preston, Cardiff, Swansea, Millwall, QPR, Huddersfield, Hull) who have all in the last 20-30 years tasted some kind of success by reaching cup finals or the top flight. We've come close just the once in that time. During this time we have seen a handful of clubs surpass us in the Leagues and reach the top flight and prolong their stay there, whilst we bumble around the two middle divisions, doing not a lot. If we are fickle it is because this club is starved of any kind of success, for god sake we commemorate matches in the FA Cup 5th round from 50 years ago if that's not a tell tale sign of how little we've had to really celebrate then I don't know what to say. I just think a lot of the fanbase are just now bored and fed up, it's rinse and repeat under Steve and Jon Lansdown and the whole surrounding area around Ashton Gate just feels like the energy has been sucked out the place in recent times. It's depressing.
  20. We've never been that kind of club. If anything we've kept hold of Manager's for too long (Lee Johnson).
  21. For me he has been clearly our player of the season. Brilliant signing by Pearson.
  22. Yeah this is a shout. The club rolled the dice in October, it's their call and their Man. Therefore they should stick with him regardless what happens going into 2024/25. If it fails it's on them.
  23. Glad I didn't go today. Yeah , we won 1-0, but it was utterly boring for the most part and pathetic. Luckily came up against a side who are somehow even worse. We have regressed, the players to me as a collective don't look to be showing much fight. The happy clappers will say i'm angry we won but i'm not, I just think we're a poor side and against most other teams in this League it would have been another 1-0 defeat today. Papering over cracks. Fans voting with their feet by not attending. Depressing
  24. Reminds me of LJ era. Go on a terrible run, then would play absolute no hopers, scrape a 1-0 win and he hangs on that result for weeks on end. This performance is awfull.
  25. Cardiff will annihilate Swansea playing like they have today
