  1. They just find any little reason to rule out a Goal. The football nerds have taken over sadly.
  2. I am so done with VAR. Killing football. To me that is a clear goal.
  3. Certainly isn't a criticism of him. It's what a small number of our fans consider to be a 'good' manager
  4. It's pretty sad that a small section of our fanbase like Manager's based on fist pumping towards them. If that's your style then fine but I dont think it is Manning's style to do that, it's just appeasing some of our low IQ supporters on X.
  5. And bought in James, Atkinson, Dickie, Knight, Tanner, Sykes, TGH and Naismith (been good just injury prone). Not exactly a bad record really. Also sold Semenyo and Scott for a combined 30 million..
  6. Very sad in my eyes. However one good thing the club has done in recent years is recognise the former players as one thing the fans of this club do love is its former players no matter how unsuccessful we've been. Never known a club so desperate for any kind of success and crying out for it really.
  7. Conway imo has been terrible ever since the Rotherham game this season.
  8. I have felt this way for quite a while. Something about the club has changed ever since LJ was in charge. A cosy club, a nice club. I don't like it. There is a feeling for me that within the club the board and the owners are very pleased with themselves about the facilities we have (High Performance Centre is a clue) and the fact we have sold academy players to PL clubs. They're delusional. Not only that, we have been largely boring to watch for years really and I could count at least 30 matches in the last 6 years that have been pathetic, but nothing changes. The appointment of Dean Holden was pathetic and the sacking of Nigel Pearson pretty short sighted. Even the new badge doesn't feel very Bristol City to me. You can bleat on about 2 good results from 1974 and 1994, but this just proves how very little this club has achieved. I think the fans of this club genuinely have the thickest skin out of any in England for how little we have to shout about for its size.
  9. Are we really safe? Huddersfield still to play, Plymouth and Stoke..
  10. Oh dear. Never mind, how sad. Hope they also go down.
  11. Not from my pov. I hope Manning does well, and is doing ok at the moment. Never has been Manning vs Pearson for me. Just sorting the strays who seem to think Pearson was the worst thing that happened to this club, when he wasn't.
  12. For 3 or 4 months it was alright. I think it might have been different if Diedhiou didn't get injured in the Autumn. We were forced to play Reid as a false 9 and play football on the deck. I don't think LJ planned for this, but this is my own theory. As soon as Fam was back though it reverted to being more long ball and workmanlike.
  13. So you didn't enjoy the run of form from Jan - March last season under Pearson, or enjoy the amount of goals we were scoring at the beginning of 2022/23? Or didn't enjoy the partnership of Martin, Weimann and Semenyo, with a 5-0 trouncing of Hull? Fair enough, I guess.
  14. Yeah, I mean we're still losing to sides we should be beating and performing well against sides who give us space. We're still a transition based side, but Manning will need time to bring his own players in I guess.
  15. Although haven't been great for 4 or 5 years (I'd say more like 6 or 7 because I didnt rate LJ style at all) it was particularly terrible for those 3 or 4 months under Holden where we could barely get out of our own half most matches and in some matches our own penalty box. Pearson WAS a needed stabilisation the club was desperate for, and although his style at times was not the most easy on the eye we did make steady progress and became a steady Championship club again. He also gave debuts to Conway, Bell, Scott, Pring and massively improved Zak Vyner. It might not have been a good watch at times, but he was certainly what has been needed until his departure whether you like him or not.
  16. This is spot on. Despite the swipes from a lot of fans on here, I think you're on the money with regards Managerial appointments at this club. People tend to just look at results only and form their opinions, without looking at a broader context of what was happening at the time.
  17. Did you watch us play from Dec 2020 - March 2021? Probably the worst i've ever seen a team play at this club, despite us being a Championship side, it was the worst football during my time as a fan (Since 2001). We were only going one way and we needed an experienced manager to stabilise the club after the chaotic managerial appointment of Holden and the scattergun approach to transfers throughout 2019 and 2020.
  18. Controversial opinion but both GJ and LJ left us in a very bad long term state upon leaving, too many average players signed on long term contracts that we couldn't get rid of for 2-3 years after they left. GJ has a record of this at Yeovil too, and now Torquay. Overrated Manager's here.
  19. Like to see QPR in League 1 again while we play Championship Football. I am not bitter at all about 2003/04.
  20. Personally think Jones has been Hull's weak link in the 3 previous victories we've had against them at AG. Probably Gas to be honest, so he can do one.
  21. Not a good decision for the long term future of Millwall.
  22. 0 points from home games against QPR, Millwall, Stoke & Birmingham. This stat is a glaringly obvious reason why we aren't challenging for the Playoffs.
