Swansea City at home match thread

Swansea have thrown the towel in here. We've got very lucky today that our opponents are absolutely hopeless -

1-0. Dickie our player of the season. Papering over cracks. Terrible display. -

If we somehow win this game it's simply papering over cracks. It's utterly awful -
Decided not to return to AG until next season after last Saturday. Pointless, boring waste of time. Fed up with it all tbh.

West Brom showing what a good manager can do to affect a game when 1-0 down at HT. Corberan is a very good Manager. -

"Derby" They don't half drum this up on social media forcing a rivalry. This is never a derby. Our derbies are Rovers, Cardiff and Swindon and always will be, there's a mutual dislike between us and all 3 of those clubs. -

Utterly madness to loan him out. We never played him in his correct position , which is a striker. He'd do a better job than the ones we have out there at the moment. -

He's an arrogant so and so aint he. Found it hard to warm to him, he'll be off in the Summer. -

Fans have every right to express their feelings and anger when we spend hundreds every season to watch utter dross. -

So glad I made the decision to not go today -
It sounds really harsh as I don't like hammering someone's character without meeting them but his answers and the way he comes across is very unhumanlike and not at all personable. He strikes me as a textbook coach but has zero man management skills and life experience that can lead players to victory. I have struggled to warm to him from the start, not because I was a big NP fan but because there's something about him I find so utterly uninspiring and dour. I often think a Football team plays in the image of its Manager. We're boring, and so is he.

Thanks for once again pointing out why I never listen to his press conference. All fart, no shit with this guy I find.

Points per game and League table since Manning took charge

I think it's hard to stretch it back to Swansea nearly 15 years ago as the game (especially in the championship) has changed so much since then -

I wouldn't have classed either as slow. They had a lot of pace in their sides. -

My issue is, LM wants us to be a slow possession based side and unfortunately unless you have a massive budget or have Parachute payments it is very unlikely to get the players in to play this way and be successful in the Championship. You have to be able to mix things up (Which I felt we were able to do under NP and LJ at times). I think everyone else outside the top say 4 or 5 teams in the Championship are of an equal level of ability and the playing style tends to go out of the window. This is where I have issues with what LM wants. -
Woman takes selfie. Uploads to Facebook or Instagram. Looks at comments of all her friends reciting Shakespeare with over the top flattery compliments. Bizarre and cringeworthy. And yes I have no issues saying this on International Women's Day. It's annoying

A lot of Swindon fans there this evening?
-
2009/10. I remember it.

Enoch was better with his feet and would drop deeper. Also we stopped playing David Noble as much unfortunately. We definitely did stop playing the good football we were playing at the beginning of the campaign from January onwards.
-
Social media in general really. I'd include Instagram to that and its pretentious 'influencers'.
-
He was good, but he disrupted our playing style in 2007/08. It worked best when we didn't have a big man up front to lump it to, before he came in we were playing some very tidy football at times. Afterwards, we started lumping it.

Expectation is high Ambition is high (for the fans) Reality is we aren't very good. Big City mentality. It needs experienced Manager's, or one with a big personality who can handle it.

0 GD after 42 games says a lot.

Ipswich have more points now than we achieved in 2007/08. There achievement far outweighs ours, they're likely going to hit 95+ points.
