Done absolutely miles better since we made this decision, haven’t we?

All those who regularly slagged him off must be mystified that he’s now a regular in a top five squad.

Thought he just “ran around” & pointed?

Top player that we have nowhere near replaced & I’m sure would have created & scored a few if we’d kept him on.

Didn't use him in his best position as a striker when we actually could do with one right now..

  2. Just had a 'Banned' Message on my profile for 5 minutes.

Admin getting annoyed at the criticism towards the club? Or are the powers that be having a word in their ear...

Playing for England should be the peak of a players career, refusing a call up is not on in my opinion.

If he doesn't want to play for his country, the ignore him, there are plenty of solid options who can take his place

He doesn't even like Football mate. Just think it's sad millions of lads out there right now with dreams of playing for England at Football and he just refuses.

He's a proper big time Charlie

Ben White has asked not to be considered for the squad.

Not sure what the issue is with him, allegedly fell out with one of the coaching staff at the WC and was sent home and now this.

He's the leader of his own fan club that guy. Wouldn't call him up ever again.

I disagree. There is a real anti feeling about football in general, with the obscene amounts of money spent and wasted at all top levels (FIFA, Uefa, Saudi P.L) which i suspect we can all understand.

At a local level there is a realization we are unlikely to go up (FFP, Parachute etc etc) in the next 10 years although there will generally be one club per season that does break the rule. There is very little chance we will go down as other clubs are badly run, have poorer squads, will get points deducted etc.

As a Watford fan friend said to me; we had better get used to playing each other for the next decade and watching bigger clubs go below us and smallest clubs (Luton) temporarily go above us.

I cannot see why people want to take the p*** out of our club when our supporters have so much ammo to do the same with our rivals. Maybe its because the gas are no longer rivals.

Anyway, i for one have a huge amount of gratitude for the owners, love the stuff Tinns does for the club, especially bringing on academy players so our club can sell and survive. Until we know of a better potential buyer the critics of the Lansdowns should belt up, get behind the club and go to the games, like many of my mates do.

I fully appreciate you and others dont see it the way i do but that is fine. What isnt fine is to take the p*** out of our club, on a BCFC forum just to attract attention to yourself

Other fans can choose whatever the hell they want to do with their time. If they don't want to spend money to watch mediocrity on the pitch and feel they aren't being entertained they can take their attention elsewhere.

I find it a chore watching us, and have over the last few months started thinking about what else I could do with that spare time on a Saturday afternoon and it seems far more appealing than going to Ashton Gate.

A lot of fans travel a long way to come and watch us and don't just live around the corner from AG as well, I guess they better belt up and continue going, spend a fortune of fuel, public transport and also parking just to watch absolute mediocrity.

Your support is just pure blind tribalism and the club are not immune to criticism from its fans.

I gave my season ticket up last year after 13 on the bounce and I can say for a fact that it's been a weight off my shoulders.

I drink less, my heads in a better place, I'm genuinely happier and it's so easy to watch City from home it's almost pointless going to the ground anymore.

Yes I miss the limbs, the banter, but actually I haven't rated the atmosphere at the club for a long time and actually a lot of it is just East End nostalgia that no longer exists.

It's hard to let go, I understand, and a lot of people renew out of habit but my advice is vote with your feet guys, demand better.

Fair play to you. I've seen your posts on OTIB for a while about staying away and you were ahead of the curve I have to say..

I won't be renewing for 2024/25, not because of the money but out of protest to how the club is being run.

I preferred the old Ashton Gate too and find the overall matchday experience now very watered down and dull. I think this is what the fat cats wanted and have no ambition for us to really kick on.

Hopefully they sell up soon and things change.

A lot less imo - I think you're hugely underestimating the mutiny we're about to see.

It's been rubbish entertainment down there for many years (average 8 home wins per season in the last 9 seasons?) and I think with the diabolical treatment of NP and a less than inspiring replacement this is the year fans finally follow through on their threats not to renew by actually doing it.

So many fans are pissed off with Bristol City FC and the continuing dreadful decisions that drain all hope and I wouldn't be at all surprised at a mass desertion by several thousand.

Very pissed off. It's sad I feel such apathy towards a club I love. It feels a shadow of it's former self.

Lansdown is probably looking to be reimbursed too heavily for all the money he’s wasted due to abysmal managerial and upstairs staff appointments down the years. His valuation and what prospective buyers value the club at are probably miles apart.

depressingly we will be waiting forever for fresh impetus. God knows we need it the club is so stale. He’s lost interest and sees us as an irritant at best. In turn his legacy is being tarnished as some fans become annoyed with him. It’s all very sad and is filtering through on the pitch now.

Maybe if we win the U18 FA Youth Cup and display the trophy at the HPC it will make prospective buyers want to up their payment to buy us..

We are so tinpot, it’s embarrassing.

Seems to be tinpot things being farted out by the club on a weekly basis at the moment. I await the 20 year anniversary shirt of the Hartlepool win for our last game in May.

    Yep.
I had a conversation with Tinnion back in early September and he mentioned this.

Basically for a number of years now we’ve been playing our kids ‘up a level’.
The 16’s play in the 18’s, the 18’s play in the 21’s etc.

It’s designed around a progressive pathway and affording the kids opportunity at higher age groups and thus higher quality levels. You could argue it’s been quite successful.
It’s also allowed us to loan out players from our 21’s, because we’ll have the 18’s playing for the 21’s instead.

In September, I asked about the reason there weren’t so many 21’s out on loan this year as yet. The answer was because the focus this year was on winning the 18’s Youth Cup.
Further reasoning was that, and I quote “we’re really proud of the academy and what we’ve done, but we’ve got nothing to actually show for it, so we want some silverware”.

So yes, Kid, we have purposely sabotaged our successful youth model (with knock on effect to the 21’s loan opportunities and 1st team experience opportunity) because we want to win the cup.
Who was it said that at that level it’s not about winning it’s about the development of the players? We seem to have said “bollox to that this year, we want the cup”.

Aw they want a little trophy to show at the 'HPC' isn't that cute

It appears as though Cornick still had his moustache in this photo.
When do he shave it off, was it prior to the Shef Weds game?
This photo was not taken in the last few days, maybe even the last couple of weeks.
Which makes it even more odd as to why now?

    We've won a game.

    Post it!

Glad it’s not just me who thought this was really bizarre.   Why do we do thing like this? Why don’t we have someone who says ‘this just isn’t right’.  It’s a throw away thing that really doesn’t matter in any scheme of things but it just adds to the narrative that the club is clueless atm. We’re supposed to be a ‘top end team’ in the 5th biggest league in the world but behave like we’re in the Great Mills.

Ran by absolute amateurs. They're the types who try to be 'different' in the friendship group but you end up just face palming and cringing at their antics.

Maybe some day professionals will run us like a Football club and not some stupid PR stunts.

As far as I recall, up until the last few years, squad photos were done during or just after pre-season. Quite often, new players were in the photo as they were signed after.

why the fudge are we bothering to do one now, the season is all but over!

    mental

My theory - They had always planned on any excuse of a bad run this season to get rid of NP so they didn't do a team photo until they got their boy in.

Find it strange Twine is in the photo when he has made 1 match and Weimann is elsewhere.
