  1. From BBC website Forest Green Rovers have signed free agent veteran Republic of Ireland defender Richard Keogh. The former Derby man has been without a club since leaving Wycombe last month, having made 25 appearances this season. The 37-year-old has played made more than 450 Championship games plus nearly 200 more in League One. "I'm excited to get going and I'm looking forward to getting into the thick of it straight away," Keogh told the club website. Keogh - who won 26 caps for his country - revealed a long-standing relationship with Rovers boss Steve Cotterill persuaded him to join League Two's bottom side. "When he called me, the whole challenge really excited me," added Keogh. "I want to come here and help the group in any way I can. "I wouldn't be here if I wasn't ready for the challenge ahead. There's loads of points to play for, there's a good feel around the place with the new gaffer in place, so we just need to keep pushing each other." Cotterill added: "Richard brings experience to the group. He's a great communicator. We have a very young group - and he will be a voice on the pitch. "His experience and positioning will be invaluable. When you look at free agents out there right now, it's very difficult to get somebody the quality of Richard. I know what I'm getting from him and he will bring so much to the group."
  2. Just listened to it again on BBC Sounds. The interview was actually during half time and yes, he says he has a house in Clifton, which he appears to suggest is rented out to students. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0h3nsct Comment at 1:01:15
  3. According to his interview on Radio Bristol pre-match yesterday, he has a house in Clifton!

  5. Just look at the ****** cretins ! In fairness Slati, one of them is trying to hide their identity.
  6. Cast my vote and back to the top, as it was slipping down and I almost missed it.
  7. Searching for: why are reinsurers based in Bermuda Generating answers for you… Bermuda is often referred to as the “world’s risk capital” due to its innovative and entrepreneurial insurance sector. The country emerged as a leader in the development and regulation of captive insurers over 40 years ago and is now home to underwriting operations for more than 30 major international insurance and reinsurance firms1. Bermuda has led the reinsurance industry in developing a scientific approach to catastrophe underwriting, innovating to better serve customers, and establishing highly regarded enterprise risk management programs1. This has helped major reinsurers maintain their important credit ratings, meet shareholder expectations, and demonstrate resilience to global customers1. For the United States, the National Association of Insurance Commissioners has designated Bermuda as a “qualified jurisdiction,” and as a “reciprocal jurisdiction” for reinsurance purposes. This means that U.S. insurance regulators can look at reinsurance from a Bermuda-based company about the same way they might look at reinsurance from a U.S.-based company2. In addition, European regulators have approved Bermuda for Solvency II equivalency, which puts Bermuda on par with European peers when competing for business in the European Union2. Bermuda’s location also makes it an ideal base for companies working with both U.S. and European insurers2. These factors have contributed to Bermuda becoming the largest supplier of catastrophe reinsurance to US insurers1. Oh and it’s Jon Lansdown’s favourite place and a total coincidence with any connection between him and any back of shirt sponsors.
  8. Covered in new back shirt sponser thread
  9. What a great song to resssurect today, just a shame we have no one any where near his calibre
  10. Big credit to Geoff & Gary for a very entertaining evening. Nice to see Tinns having a more relaxing evening, not being under the spotlight & sharing some gems with the gathered crowd. As ever, Scotty, what a star & perfect gentleman, entertainer & auctioneer. Finally thanks to Sartan Club for hosting the event.
  11. According to Wikipedia Matt Taylor is already their manager
  12. Long trip from Southampton, are they having a laugh?
  13. Does that make you a bad? Clearly you have not worked with charismatic people. I have (worked with someone who outwardly came across as having no intelligence) and had to constantly correct them, grammar, spelling, maths and so on. Even his wife thought I was the brains behind the business. But who is now the successful multi millionaire. And obviously it’s not me. But I have absolutely no malice or grudges against his sucess, as I and everyone who worked under him, have to this day. Books and covers. Does that make you a bad? 14. Lesson number one in body language, subconscious covering of mouth, i.e. you know what’s coming out is a complete lie. Just look . Tinion, Lansdown Senior and Junior.
  15. Aside from him sounding too much like Russell Brand, interesting to see how the rest of the footballing world are thinking about yesterdays sacking, especially from an Ipswich supporter.
  16. They were no doubt physic, as Sara (she called herself Sarah before Bananarama) and Keren were both Bristol girls from Bromley Heath and so perhaps it was even in the air back in 1987. That said, when I knew them they were only interested in David Essex and not in football, so who knows?
  17. Some credit must be given to the questions asked. They're learning. Also nice that we can hear the questions for a change. It's only taken a few years to sort this
