  1. That's spooky as I genuinely know a man from Mansfield who moved to Mangotsfield.
  2. As ever a informative and insightful preview Havanatopia and only the third instance of word obfuscation being used in over 2.5 million posts! And is case you don't fully understand its meaning, like me, this is what Wkii says: Obfuscation is the obscuring of intended meaning in communication, making the message confusing, wilfully ambiguous, or harder to understand. It may be intentional or unintentional (although the former is usually connoted) and may result from circumlocution (yielding wordiness) or from use of jargon or even argot (yielding economy of words but excluding outsiders from the communicative value). Unintended obfuscation in expository writing is usually a natural trait of early drafts in the writing process, when the composition is not yet advanced, and it can be improved with critical thinking and revising, either by the writer or by another person with sufficient reading comprehension and editing skills.
  3. From the BBC news website "A Jordanian writer charged with offending Islam after allegedly sharing a satirical cartoon on his Facebook page has been killed. Nahid Hattar was hit by three bullets outside the court in the capital Amman where he was standing trial." Glad this sort of thing doesn't go on in Guernsey As they say "Lie down with dogs" Jordan writer in blasphemy case Nahid Hattar killed
  4. Really? So before you decide if a project is feasible you go to the considerable expense of paying hundreds of thousands of pounds in architects fees, planning consultants, designers, lawyers and god knows who else. Wouldn't want to be the other half of your pantomime horse!
  5. So the extent of his investment to date is to buy some sarnies for the players: "As soon as he took over, he set about making simple but important improvements to the way the club was run. He was surprised, for instance, to find no food was being laid on for players after training. So he began organizing catering for them. “If you provide food for the players to eat on the same table, that creates camaraderie and bond for the whole club and gives it meaning,” he said.
  6. For Chippenhamgas on Gasshat, the penny is finally beginning to drop "Normally don't believe anything chimp says but you don't need to be in the know to work things out. The silence speaks louder than anything on this. Starting to question whether our new owners actually have any money or access to investment. " Only just starting your questions?
  7. Its not even a new addition, just rearranging the proverbial deck chairs
  8. Sorry Big Tone, but I haven't a clue what you are on about and you have failed to take into account the Tudor Court Rules
  9. Did exactly the same thing and heard what Keith Brookman said. I just can't believe how deluded they all are. It can only end in tears.
  10. Interesting to see that Sainsbury's lodged a charge over the ground on 27/11/15 against a loan
  11. Southstand you're showing your (and my) age here Is this wretched demi-bee Half asleep upon my knee Some freak from a menagerie? No! It's Eric, the half a bee
  12. In this day and age of the "celebrity" role model, this is a man who has made a REAL and significant change to the world. This is a man from whom we can and should take positive lessons and learn sobriety. Along with Mother Teresa, a genuine Saint in the modern world, who personally sacrificed so much for us all. Resting in rightful peace
