If my Googling is correct, then a football pitch, according to FA regulations has dimensions that must fall between being 100-130 yards (90-120m) long and 50-100 yards (45-90m) wide.
In other words, you could potentially have a square pitch!
That’s quite a variance in the width.

As the article alludes, if it was a normal business, it would have no value and so why pay money for an asset that has negative value.
A football stadium has a very specific use and cannot be easliy or commercially used for other activities, which also makes me wonder why someone would build a stadium on the Fruit Market, but of course that is a totally different topic!

Never at his day job would he employ the rabble he has at football . You hire the very best .
As I alluded to above, he wasn't the man hiring and firing at HL
Read into that what you want

I also wonder that if Mr Hargreaves had been a football man, would we be where we are today?
There are always at least two in every partnership and anyone at Hargreaves Lansdown will tell you who was the boss and the driver and who knew that there was no upside to owning a football club.

It was Twentyman who first mentioned long Covid, not RG and the subsequent conversation wasn't too specific to NP

Its a little surprising that Steve hasn't really transferred his huge success re; HL into the football side of Bristol City..
Stumbling is a suitable analogy.
But it wasn't just SL at HL, as the name suggests and SL wasn't the ruthless one or the majority shareholder

Yes, he should.
He didn’t say “nuclear holocaust” though. did he?
He said holocaust, which is the term that’s used to describe the attempted annihilation of the Jews in Europe.
It is incredible that people don’t understand this or why it is so offensive.
He said "a holocaust" not the Holocaust.
Like others, can't stand the man and not really wanting to defend him, but I would describe his comments as mis-informed.- 1

Blimey what a quote to make, they have form for it though. I can remember Phil Bater saying something something like a player had " a touch like a rapist." Good god what a thing to say.
I thought that was Hollowhead?

Indeed but the Post couldn't even be bothered writing their own article around Gould's comments, instead just saying "the Mail says this, the Mail says that". Lazy, useless waste of space - such is the state of provincial journalism these days. A sorry state of affairs.
Not wanting to defend Bristol Live for one minute (or the Evening Post as I delivered as a school boy back in 1976), all national papers copy and paste and reference other papers original content, when compiling their own "news" story

Are you joking, it could barely be worse, how come Cooper can go to Forest with just 1 point from 7 games and immediately turn it around yet Pearson cannot win a home game in 8 months, like Hughton and most of the older managers around they are way behind the times, I said in the summer that we missed a trick by not going for Cooper or the new Swansea manager

Is your avatar Precious McKenzie?
Very much so TCR and I think quite an iconic image of Bristol's most famous and smallest (4' 9") weightlifter.
Was fortunate enough to meet him at the Empire gym, where he would always visit when over in the UK and he even gave me some tips.
Having Googled him today I found this clip about how the photo came about and so thanks for the prompt, as I didn't know when and where it was taken.

And presumably the HMRC debt is increasing by the week/month, i.e. every time someone is paid, as I assume that the administrators aren't immediately weighing over the Income Tax and NI deductions, which for the high earners would be over 50% of their wages?

Even better:
"On occasions, both my wife and daughter have witnessed players and staff urinating against the hedge which backs onto Hortham Lane. Not nice, especially when they have toilet facilities in their clubhouse.
So now who's taking the/a piss

BBC hadn't covered football, let alone sport, in years. Unless it has a race, gender, or disability angle they couldn't give a flying.
MOTD is a pre-packaged highlights joke, presented by woke muppets, with comment by fence-sitting dullards, pandering to the populist masses. Frankly amazed football focus even exists these days.
This
Only I couldn't have put it so Eloquently
But not just the BBC. Look at bakeoff on C4 tonight - hardly a cross section of the UK population, but every minority and then some covered.

I have already explained elsewhere that the £50,000 demanded of the Supporters Club towards the training ground was in fact set aside by the Committee for facilities for fans and that the equipment we suggested to then Chairman Steve Hamer would remain the property of the Supporters Club so that it could be reused.
The money belongs to the Supporters Club because it is the entire proceeds from the enforced sale of the former SC shop and offices in Kingswood.
£50,000 for the sale of the club shop?
Sounds like someone got a bargain there!

How much to add a step for the kids?
"The club is aware that the recent changes to the terracing areas have caused some issues over the first three games of the season.
We are aware that many fans, particularly younger fans, used to stand at the front of the terrace to ensure that they could see.
Possible solutions could include creating a family area within the terrace or adding an additional step at the front for children.
Assessing these and other options is likely to take some time."
And money that we don't have!

The Gas paid £62,108 to intermediaries over the past two transfer windows, significantly down from the £141,006 bill they racked up in 2019/20.
Quote from Bristol Post. No shock there. But more shockingly from same article
The Premier League and Championship paid £272,220,223 and £40,753,529 to intermediaries respectively, while the bill for League Two clubs was £1,069,115.
Over a quarter of a billion paid to agents!!

Aside from the Covid nonsense and as the OP said, it never used to happen and why should the whole game be suspended whilst perfectly capable medics deal with the situation?
Thanks for raising this MattWSM, as this was exactly what I thought following tonights incident and our own previous ocurancies
