  1. As long as waggy the work horse plays who cares? Honestly we will go places with him in the team. #GoesBackMoreThanCampbellRyce
  2. First 20 all over the place, after that we settled and looked a bit better. JET & Baldock guilty of missing chances. We need another to finish this
  3. Just got here. Let's get 3 points and get out of this grotty little joint. This is massive today. Happy with that team though. Very happy. On paper looks very strong. Welcome back Louis. Chuffed to bits I am here to see him equal the record. COYR
  4. Important not to get carried away as Tamworth were poor but Baldock's movement and work rate hasn't been all that effective this season. Today he looked good but for me hasn't done it consistently enough this season.
  5. Made hard work of it in the end. All that for a completely pants draw as per usual. I was impressed with Baldock today. Missed a few again but he lead by example today and worked hard. That is what I expect to see from him more weeks than most. Especially from a captain. That has been my main complaint with Baldock. I can handle him missing chances, all good strikers do but his all round game up until late hasn't been good enough. Today he looked sharp though and long may that continue.
  6. Not sure he's got the skill as such. He's very direct and quick though. He definitely has the potential to be a very good winger for us that's for sure if and when he improves his decision making and delivery.
  7. I would start with Burns and Bryan out wide. It won't happen today though. Cotterill will play it safe but that is what most City fans would like to see.
  8. I think we will be ok today. Nice professional performance hopefully. On route to the game now and very much looking forward to seeing how Cotterill sets us up.
  9. Absolutely spot on fella. Pretty much my thoughts word for word. Awful situation to find ourselves in all honesty. I wanted it to work for SoD but it just hasn't and although I don't think we would have gone down with him in our charge we will never know. The problem is where to go now? People calling for Warnock are again thinking short term. He is close to retirement and in two years time we will again be looking at another manager. Plus he isn't going to buy into the clubs vision and is a complete dinosaur. Di Canio? Christ it would be chaos with him here. Simply can't happen. Steve Cotterill? Jeez I think that one would reduce me to tears! There really isn't a realistic target that we could get that would make me think 'yes, that's a great appointment' either. I don't know what to think tonight. I don't think the board do either. It's just a terrible mess.
  10. The whole things a mess now. Back to square one. Just who is there out there? It's going to be the same for the next manager and he won't get the time he needs either I doubt. I wanted it to work for SoD but in all honesty he has been given as long as possible to turn this around. Can anyone say he has started to turn it around? Sadly it's a result based business and as much as I wanted him to stay it's almost impossible to argue against this. Surprise surprise the board have got it wrong again.
  11. What's the problem? He didn't even say those words in effect but even so he has to acknowledge reality. People seriously need to wake up. JET is way way too good for L1 and us for that matter. We are not where we used to be.....let it go! Whilst we can still hold out for a good fee if a large offer came in we would simply have to sell. Who knows, perhaps clubs might not even come in for him in jan? For him to be as effective elsewhere as he is here you have to more or less build the team around him and let him do what he wants. Are there many championship clubs that could afford him and would do that? Also he might actually want to stay and play for us under SOD. Wishful thinking but we shall see. Let's just enjoy JET while he's here. The blokes different class. If it was me I would do all I could to offload Baldock instead. That said we wouldn't get anything like what we would for JET.
  12. Much better performance second half! Please don't go JET
  13. So one paced it's worrying. We have improved as the games on but still need to up. I really do wonder where we would be without JET. Even though he's scored he's not been on it as of yet today! Better second half needed.
  14. Sorry I've worded that completely wrong. I don't mean the changes he makes to the team today, or any other day for that matter. I mean his changes/subs during the game!
  15. I am a fan of SOD but his changes, or lack of do frustrate me. He does seem to wait too long to make subs. In an ideal world today will be sewn up by the 60 minute mark. Would like to see Burns and Taylor come on for JET and Baldock, as well as Wynter for Pack or Reid. Of course I am fully aware the ideal world rarely exists with us. Here's hoping!
  16. Happy with that team. Glad Burns is on the bench, would love to see him given 30mins today
  17. Seems like a PR opportunity to be honest. Completely over the top.
  18. This. It's his team now. So why are most of them completely gutless? He is never going to get the best of players when he refuses to drop the bad ones and back the good ones. He has to go now for me, and I wanted to give him every chance. Today was the last straw. Utterly dreadful. There is a right way to lose games, at least show a bit of fight and passion. We don't seem to have that anymore. Since the Cardiff game I can honestly say that Millen's teams played better football. We have no game plan, no system, no style, no nothing. Even if we were losing games but attacking well, creating chances and playing like we were at the start of the season it would be easier to take, but at present it's utter dross..
  19. Ha brilliant. I can't put into words on this forum what I think of the cretin, let alone what I'd like to happen to him!
  20. If we sign Samaras we will honestly have Bas Savage the second on our hands. He is terrible!
  21. I guess if you say 46 as a rough guideline then the teams below us would pretty much have to double there points tally from all season to finish above us. Pboro is massive on sat, we get a win we throw them into the mix and they are dropping rapidly!
  22. I agree, hopefully we can take belief from it and build on it! We need to get on a little run now, at the very least not get beaten as easily in recent weeks!
  23. It's hard to tell. All very well coming up with theories of previous seasons and how many points we predict the bottom 3 may get, but not all 3 teams can continue to lose every week. Who's to say that one of them can't or won't go on a run and a bit of a mini revival? 5 more wins SHOULD just about be enough but it will be tight.
