Skeletor has been self touting himself for ages to get this job at some point

To me if he isn't their next Manager they must be in a serious mess as I could imagine him going in there at a low salary just to help his beloved team

I cant stand him, but I'd be stunned if he goes there under the current owners

    How long can this continue?
they needed gates of 10 k a couple of years ago the post reported,

Kieran Maguire flagged them up earlier this year for the late filing of their accounts,  he doesn't get much wrong. Genuinely believe their future  hangs on the sale of the club....unlucky da shit.

“If he’s gonna take over at Mansfield.... have they seriously got more of a chance of progressing than we have ? It’s a sh** little club , always has been. I’d be gutted and it would be so telling about our future if he left us for that tin pot club“

The light is almost on, is anyone at home  ?

Today I saw the best standing for Bristol Rovers I think in over 20 years. We should hope for them getting promoted, cause everytime they were a divison or even two under us, haha. So we can not get relegated this season, that means if Rovers keeps a good form we will automatically promote cause we are and we always be better than them in terms of playing division.

    Oh **** off

Much as I am happy/resigned to joining in with the piss taking most of the time, I would like to point that the reason we don't have a 'singing section' , is that the atmosphere at Rovers when we are doing well still is pretty good and we don't actually need to tell people to stand or sit in a particular place to join in. Most of the noise does come from the Blackthorn end of course, but even then it still comes from different parts of the terrace and hearing all the other sides/tents join in isn't uncommon.

Considering there are regularly posts on here about lack of atmosphere , fans asking where they should sit if they want to sing and even one saying he doesn't sing out of consideration for those around him (I mean, come on!) .

I was at Bromley last week , we had a piss poor following and the home fans treated us to a 'One nil and you still don't sing'

I'm trying to see how I can make ' Top end of the table team for ages now with oodles of cash  a great big stadium, biggest attendances for years and inevitably bound for the Premier league and you still don't sing'  scan into a chant :)

Even you are starting to pedal the atmosphere bullshit now.

thats what will happen, they can't borrow any more against the mem, they ether have to dip into their own pocket (won't happen) or put the club in administration (the only way they'll get money back now)

Also there probably won't be a better season to take the points deduction for them . Almost as if all the stars have aligned and their saviour came forth bearing gifts whilst riding a camel..........

    Oh hang on.

    Agreed.

There are three things going on and it isn't clear firstly whether any will happen and secondly to what extent they are connected.

Buy and redevelop the fruit market site including, but very much not limited to, a football ground.

Sale and / or redevelop the Memorial Ground.

    Sale of the football club.

They can all happen independently: new developers build on the fruit market site and include a football ground, Al Qs exercise their charge on the Mem and build on it, group of local businessmen buy the football club without a ground.

If you structure it like that then you can see it as being a reasonable plan; though it would leave Rovers renting a ground at the fruit market rather than owning a ground.

I think every scenario leaves the sags not owning a ground ( History repeats itself  ) Unless there actually is a multi-millionaire Gas supporter yet to announce himself to the adoring masses ?

Couple here saying how SL would kick up a fuss if Ree’s does in fact help them with their next pipe dream. Strange how not a single one of them mentions how their shitty little club went crying to BCC about how unfair it was if they helped City without helping them too.

I hope SL whinges and bitches just as they did back then. Reap what you sow Sags, reap what you sow......

I love that they believe it's going to happen. Then start chucking figures around like Monopoly money . All from a club that took 9 months to put up a TV bracket.
