  1. VALOR is another word that came up in one of the cloned games.
  2. I seem to recall that many on here thought that Matt Smith was awful before he had even played his first game for us.
  3. Wow! 30 seconds trying, and I have a stream! Many Thanks. Now watch us concede three late goals.
  4. I am sure you are correct. I don't have a stream, but read on BBC that Joe Williams made the pass, then you mentioned Scott, then DaveF confirmed it was Pring (16). The joys of 'watching' from France.
  5. Unfortunately.... Forbidden You don't have permission to access /index.php on this server. Apache/2.4.7 (Ubuntu) Server at soccer24hd.com Port 443
  6. Although, according to the BBC, ?: Joe Williams slid Andi Weimann in with a fine through-ball, and when the Austrian's route to goal was blocked, he swivelled to put the ball on a plate for Antoine Semenyo.
  7. What are you on about. Didn't you read? Dolly has a one year old daughter ?.
  8. Do you have a stream or are you referrringto SKY/VIRGIN?
  9. I have no knowledge whatsoever of any 'behind the scenes' action at Sunderland, but Dreyfus, an extremely wealthy young man, as I am sure you are aware, is Chairman and majority shareholder. Who, or what group, might be acting above Dreyfus?
  10. Reading are, in fact, home to Coventry on Saturday. WRDC have a very interesting looking fixture away to in-form Middlesbrough. Somehow, even if Mel Morris were to attend as a Guest of Honour, I don’t envisage Steve Gibson inviting him to the boardroom for a cosy chat and a glass of claret.
  11. Or perhaps, certainly this year anyway, picking in form players, watching them perform briliiantly, so well in fact that they score all your team's 17 points, and then taking them off with 20 minutes still to go.
  12. Indeed, and whilst it is obviously unfair to judge somebody by a single photo, the individual pictured appears to be one of the least sharp of all.
  13. And I’ll say another: injuries ?.
  14. As you say, I am not convinced NP is averse to loan signings per se, but what would be the point this season? I really don’t think we are in any danger of relegation, and surely even the most optimistic amongst us don’t really think we will threaten the playoffs. A loan signing, therefore, would just have been a waste of money, unless it was a promising youngster with an option to buy.
  15. Portugal? Do you remember Greece? They were far worse.
  16. There is also an ex-City player whose name contains three, arguably four, vowels. Unfortunately, Atyeo is apparently an invalid word - I tried it!
  17. It was, of course, a very sad ending to a tragic story that, because of the historical connections between France and Morocco, has been quite a 'big' event in the French media over the past few days. Nevertheless, and whilst I am fully aware of, and understand, the reasons, it is always strikes me how such a story in another country attracts more attention than, e.g. an instantaneous motor accident in one's own country, in which an entire family, including children, is killed.
  18. Ah, It has just occurred to me that I used two different devices; my fixed computer and my mobile telephone. I used the link provided at the start of this thread and, if there is only one word a day, perhaps the site thought I was two different people and allowed me to play the same game twice. In that case, sorry if I disclosed today's solution.
  19. I only saw this thread on Friday, so the game is still very new to me. I finished my first attempt in four goes, the solution being SKILL. I have just completed another version, starting with the word SMILE, only to find that the first, third and fourth letters were green, i.e. correct and in the correct place. I didn't take a genius to work out that the most logical solution was again SKILL. So, my question is: Have I stumbled upon the specimen version, i.e. tailor made for beginners, or is this just a strange coincidence?
  20. Then let's get him down to Taunton again.
  21. Or even our old friend Fanny. http://t0.gstatic.com/licensed-image?q=tbn:ANd9GcRIuk7VP_cWWiBMLD5zhFPAFJV5GqT6QEFjkDHZIAGgJ3kmhuXPY9CVtW1QRjR4 This always make me laugh.
  22. Yes, that's sort of my view. I remember Harvey Elliot mimicking Harry Kane's lisp and, quite surprisingly (and disappointingly), some on here mocking Luke Ayling's stutter. It's not at all clever, nor, of course, is it funny, although Leeds players apparently found it amusing a few months ago. https://www.hitc.com/en-gb/2021/04/30/bamford-shares-what-happened-in-leeds-team-huddle-last-weekend-it-left-everyone-in-hysterics/ Re. Ayling and his speech impediment, I used to like him as a player, but I also admired him as a person for standing up to be interviewed after matches - a brave man. Conversely, I have no problem with referring to Neil Warnock as Colin, although his nickname is not down to any impediment.
  23. In an ideal world, of course, children would be raised by two law abiding parents, preferably (and I am not trying to bring in another topic) both a mother and a father.
