  1. But AL (full back) some years later?
  2. Now I'm Confused. Who was the 'burglar'? MD (not you, of course) or AS? I thought it was a certain AL, an erstwhile City player and postman.
  3. Sorry Phantom, I was being sarcastic, simply noting the sell-out crowds for 20/20, ditto Platinum Membership (undoubtedly in order to gain entrance for the 20/20 matches), whilst continuing to attract sparse crowds for the 4 day County Championship matches.
  4. I am not sure how closely you follow non-Somerset cricket, but since his injury in the World T20 CG has struggled horrifically for runs. I just hope he does not have to cry off from his Somerset commitments due to injury, especially as so many tickets have already been sold (both at Taunton and away) based on his 'promised' appearance - after all, it wouldn't be the first time would it?
  5. It has become a bit of an obsession, hasn't it? Unfortunately, however, we both know where the sponsors, ticket (and concessions) money comes from; and this is the one-day game, especially 20/20. More publicity (and signing of 'star' players - a certain Jos Buttler used to play for us) means more tickets sold. Somerset/Surrey (20/20) is already sold out, and I believe that the Glos/Somerset game is also. What do you think are the chances of getting a last minute ticket to the Somerset/Warwickshire County Championship game, and I wonder if they are still accepting sponsors for same?
  6. I see that Tomarse is still moaning on 'the other site' about Somerset's continued devotion to a certain Chris Gay;e . I remain a great fan of the traditional 3 or 5 day game, but understand and do like the shorter versions.
  7. Their bowling in Durham's second innings has not been terrific, either, although, as I type, they have just taken their first wicket: 74/1 off 13 overs!
  8. My apologies, it must be an age/generation thing. I have always referred to the (in this case) bottom three teams as being in the relegation places or positions, and to the teams in the relegation places or hovering just above as being in the relegation zone.
  9. Being held all over and dragged down. Definite penalty. Even more obvious on the replay!
  10. Yes Thanks. Up and running, but I think I shall watch the rugby later.
  11. Hi ETR. Is your link working today? Mine seems to have disappeared totally.
  12. I see BCS liked your post. I just wonder whether he realised your use of the word 'mashed' was in reference to the swedes: I suspect he assumed you meant smashed, i.e. they would have time for a few drinks before going home.
  13. Is that true, really? Not doubting you, but I have never heard that before.
