  1. Good Afternoon Mr Parker, I laughed (there, but for the grace of God) when you descended to the conference, but agree with the highlighted words above.
  2. I think you may find that the 'accounts' were a draft version and, as Eddie says above, the XXX will be replaced with actual figures (Please, Surely, nobody, even on OTIB, really expects officially audited accounts to contain XXX in respect of unrelieved tax losses/future taxable trading profits) and the 1.5M shares as opposed to 4.5M was, as I advised earlier, a simple typo. GT's officially audited accounts, when released, will rectify the details contained in this premature, surely leaked version of their accounts.
  3. Calm Down! It was all just a typing error and clarification will be provided shortly. Edited to Update: Apparently this has now been amended.
  4. I am sure Aizoon will have his own view, but I saw this in the Bristol Post earlier. Horfield The name Horfield is Anglo-Saxon in origin, meaning filthy open land. Historically, the area had a reputation as a lawless place because Horfield Wood was the haunt of thieves and vagrants. The area remained rural until the early 19th century.
  5. Hi ETR. Is your link working? Sorry, false alarm - the volume was too low and the link is working perfectly. Enjoy the game.
  6. I seem to recall singing quite a few of our songs in the Tote End!
  7. I remember it well, especially being stuck in traffic on one of the supporters club coaches on the approach to the ground - young kids of about 10 years throwing stones/bricks at our coach and we really were old men, women and children. I also remember driving through some streets on the approach and seeing washing hanging out between the houses.
  8. Wrong Blackman. The Reading goalscorer was Nick - André was last heard of playing for Blackpool.
  9. I have seen this mentioned on numerous occasions, but I have no idea whether or not it is true and, if so, of the details. Anybody able to explain/expand.
  10. Definitely one Tuesday night and, now you mention it, Pompey as well - also, by coincidence, on a Tuesday night, all kicking off by the Mercedes garage and on Winterstoke Road.
  11. I am not sure about 'taking' the East End, but I remember back in the 1970s both Leicester one Tuesday evening and Birmingham having very large numbers present throughout the match - also Liverpool, of course, during the FA Cup game. I also remember one Saturday afternoon when Sheffield UTD 'invaded' the East End in large numbers: they were finally chased out, but not before 'allegedly' hitting one City fan with an axe would you believe.
  12. A propos Big Tone, has anybody heard of/from him recently? He did say a few days ago he would be absent for health reasons, but I have not heard from since.
  13. What is the background to this? Was Redeye' just a troll? Why does he/she no longer post?
  14. Thanks Eddie and The Gasbuster. It was actually Mike Litoris I was thinking of, although I now recall the other two - both equally amusing (depending upon your sense of humour). Are all three still posting (TG indicates that MHH has changed his user name - I assume it was a he!)?
  15. I have always been amused (my puerile sense of humour) by your user name and also that of Rudolf Hucker. There was another similarly 'rude' user name who used to post, but I cannot recall seeing him on here for months now and, for the life of me, I have forgotten his user name - it was sort of Greek and, if I remember correctly, he once explained/justified himself to TMOR by saying that his father was Greek and had a wicked sense of humour. Any ideas?
  16. I think that was the game when we conceded a free kick just outside our penalty area because our goalkeeper stepped just outside of same when taking a dropkick.
