  1. True it wasn’t good with Boro- however is Pearson not another dinosaur which the modern game has bypassed?
  2. And that’s great and I think everyone appreciates the environment he is working under is far from ideal. However it’s his seemingly continued inability to organise a team defensively that is surprising, as well as lack of resilience in holding onto a lead and not inviting pressure onto ourselves, especially deep into games. Early days granted, and his financial situation is what it is, but we all thought Wilson, Klose and Naismith were good additions in the summer defensively- but two matches in and the frailties are still evident.
  3. Think it is too premature to judge at the moment, and I think I would wait to see the impact having our best player semenyo back has on our performances? But 18 months in and a 26% win rate should suggest that this isn’t working out, oh for a streaky Lee seven game winning run anytime soon.
  4. Is it a job lot or you still willing to send £3.33 for the glorious sunshine?
  5. I guess because a lot of people still feel the rivalry
  6. Tyre pressure warning and big nail in tyre on way to ground today so currently at the garage with no chance of making kick off - cue thumping 4-0 win and champagne football in the glorious sunshine
  7. Fair shout fella, good to hear we looked ok. maybe I am too Arsene Wenger to your Jose Mourinho. I guess just frustrated that we have started the season off losing points in injury time again. Have a safe trip back
  8. In total control for large parts of the game but couldn’t kill them off- sounds familiar. You make your own luck
  9. Going for a decent point to start the season with 1-1. everyone starts on zero- hopefully a season to remember.
  10. Seri always has lots of speculation while at Nice around big clubs wanting him, but no bids ever materialised, and it always felt like how did Fulham get him. Seems like plenty of potential that never got realised.
  11. Not long winded at all- a very fair assessment and pretty much how I see it. A fully fit City starting eleven is a match for any team in the league but as you say that is unlikely to be the case. I am thinking we will finish somewhere between 10th-15th but with hopefully some more positive signs for the future, in respect to more work to ease our financial situation, more of the younger players getting the chance to show what they can do, and continued good work in scouting the free transfer and bargain market.
  12. Yeah I hardly pay any notice them- he says whilst posting on the friendly thread :-)…all friendlies are annoying- I also don’t pay any attention to international friendlies. Fitness and shape and tactics preparation only.
  13. Fantastic footballer… ah well
  14. Sorry been away most of week has Palmer left now?
  15. Historically and in respect to major domestic honours then yes they are. They had a very tidy team in the 80s on the plastic pitch at kenilworth road.
  16. Loved it- great players, great teams, the music to the show, the Saturday morning highlights round up.
  17. It was my birthday that day so don’t remember too much about the night before or the day of the match- but do recall thinking that we didn’t do ourselves justice in the final and we were a better side than we showed.
  18. Why should the club be punished for the moronic behaviour of one of its fans. It is very difficult for stewards to stop a few thousand people running onto the pitch.
  19. My comment was meant as irony…he was total pony
  20. Never realised the area finals were so close to end of the season- this tournament gets wrapped up mid March these days. Probably was my first season of understanding what it meant to support one team I was only 8 and prior to this season had supported Man Utd and Chelsea…Wembley was my first ever match…hooked ever since
  21. Fair shout to them that is an unbelievable result and turnaround of their fortunes this season- sure others won’t understand but I would love to have really competitive Derbies again in the future… as a young boy I remember my old man taking me to a few in the early 90’s and I really felt the rivalry… always remember one midweek game we won 1-0 with a Tinman penalty after Alexander got sent off. It was so competitive back in those days that I could probably still remember most of their team that played!!! You had to be their I guess
  22. I am not sure if this is the official player of the month awards as pretty sure EFL run that. However according to Whoscored.com, Rob is their player of the month and him and Martin are included in championship team of the month. https://www.skysports.com/share/12605178
