  1. My comment was meant as irony…he was total pony
  2. Never realised the area finals were so close to end of the season- this tournament gets wrapped up mid March these days. Probably was my first season of understanding what it meant to support one team I was only 8 and prior to this season had supported Man Utd and Chelsea…Wembley was my first ever match…hooked ever since
  3. Fair shout to them that is an unbelievable result and turnaround of their fortunes this season- sure others won’t understand but I would love to have really competitive Derbies again in the future… as a young boy I remember my old man taking me to a few in the early 90’s and I really felt the rivalry… always remember one midweek game we won 1-0 with a Tinman penalty after Alexander got sent off. It was so competitive back in those days that I could probably still remember most of their team that played!!! You had to be their I guess
  4. I am not sure if this is the official player of the month awards as pretty sure EFL run that. However according to Whoscored.com, Rob is their player of the month and him and Martin are included in championship team of the month. https://www.skysports.com/share/12605178
  5. Did anyone start feeling uncomfortable after that hug? Judd wanted out of that after about 15 seconds
  6. Turned out to be a great final, tickets for next years crucible went on sale today, going to get to a few days hopefully and tick another think off the wish list.
  7. I know most people have so far focussed on his humour and great reporting around the grounds on soccer Saturday but I also think he was a very good presenter alongside Ben Shepperd on Goals on Sunday. That is a much missed show as it was well presented with good guests and Kammy was a mainstay for years. I am not sure why sky took it off air but they have made some strange decisions regarding shows over recent years, their Thursday night Ringside show was also brilliant but axed. Good luck Chris
  8. Man uniteds defence this season
  9. Hopefully will be a great final over the next two days guys. Hope Ronnie does it but think Trump will have so much confidence after last night.
  10. I didn’t stay for the walk around, but I did find the shoe thing a bit of a distraction to what was going on the pitch. We were being treated to the best performance of the season and one section of the crowd were only interested in a football and a shoe. End of season party atmosphere maybe I get it, but I just felt that was our flattest part of the match.
  11. Think we will win convincingly today 3-0, I have even bet on us to do so.
  12. What a frame!!! That will be a hammer blow mentally to Higgins
  13. Anyone else watching the last frame of this session? Unbelievable clearance from Ronnie to take it to a respotted black….genius
  14. He has done a pretty good job their- breterton-Diaz not being available for 2 months really didn’t help them.
  15. His break to make it 12-12 was something else.
  16. Yeah fantastic- really pleased for lisowski, Robertson unusually backed into a corner on the safety exchanges in the last few frames. onto the quarter finals now gents
  17. My abiding memory of Morgan was he scored the winning goal v Grimsby on a Sunday afternoon match that was shown on tv…one of the worst matches I have seen!
  18. Is it just me or does anyone else have a dislike of Robertson? - fantastic player and probably the most in form going into the tournament and he will take some stopping, however something about him that makes my teeth itch.
  19. I was a member of Pot Black in fishponds for years… anyone remember Roy who used to run it?
  20. Two weeks of World Championship snooker has now started, does anyone still have a very keen interest in this sport like me anymore? I see quite a few Darts threads pop up but snooker has seemed to lose the appeal it used to have.
  21. Have watched several documentaries about Savile, and I was far too young at the time to understand what some of the things he did were very creepy but amazed how so many people who would have known better just turned a blind eye. I thought he was a dream maker when I was a little boy and I even wrote into jim l fix it a couple of times.
  22. Is it not his fault that we didn’t look like we knew how to manage the game when it was 11v 10? We didn’t spread the play we were indecisive in possession and didn’t look like we had a clue how to break them down. This is a very experienced manager we are talking about!!
  23. Pearson has to shoulder the blame for this performance and many many others this season- the problem is he doesn’t
