  1. We may mock [often] but "windy" is a consideration [& its not the backdraft they experience pulling out of their nan's rear] all those temporary tenty structures and white plastic chairs blowing around quicker than Chris Martin running down the wing must be quite scary.
  2. Truth is he'd stick Pele on the bench and start Cainey up front.
  3. In all honesty I think its good we have a former players association, its about time. I do wonder though whether in 30 years time we'll be flying in Ivan Testimitanu, Famara Dhiedhiou or Hörður Magnússon from Moldova, Iceland or Timbuctu for an impromptu cheer around the pitch. How on earth will they find or even locate them?
  4. They're all tough in the Championship. I would be more than happy with a point at Cov but that will be really tough. As people have said, leeds tend to rub our noses in it. We have a chance against Boro although I'm sure Luke Ayling will be right up for that one. Saints are on a roll so that will be extremely difficult. Playing Cov on the Tuesday and then leeds on the Friday is a bit of a tall ask. We really could do with the likes of Naismith coming back. So 4 points and I would be mid table realistic happy & not pie in the sky directors play off happy.
  5. As someone famous once said, you won't win anything with kids
  6. well, I would be sad to see him go. I think the transition into coaching here would be a no brainer. He's been there seen it and done it. He's a very intelligent player and can still play albeit in a limited capacity. He's great with the young players and is a fan.
  7. Personally, in this day and age labelling people "black and white" is so wrong. They are either a good footballer or not and that's down to your own opinion.
  8. I am surprised it didn't hold up its gas on tour flag. Why on earth would you want your picture of you smiling next to a swastika. Incredibly poor taste.
  9. I'm saddened and appalled to here this. Especially for a former player. They is no place for racial abuse anywhere in today's multicultural society and really just underlines how backward and stupid some people are. So what if he was, so say, goading some home fans, there is absolutely no excuse.
  10. I thought it was above average tbf. Trying to play possession based football will, inevitably, affect some of the atmosphere. Fans are all the same, despite all of the modern day coaching technology, deep down we all want our side to attack from the off. Listening to the Arsenal game on the way in and that was really like a library and we are talking three times the crowd size. So this needs a bit of context & don't be too critical. Perhaps it really IS all about "box entries"!
  11. They are so incredibly fu5king tinpot, its unbelievable. Its as if they were identified at birth with a chromozone missing marking them out as a moron for life.
  12. Oh, I don't know, standing there you could count the fans having a pi55 on the cow shed wall or poking their nan. It's not as if any of the lemmings are toilet trained yet anyway.
  13. Very gracious. This is from someone who employs thugs turns a blind eye and has a very haphazard view on planning laws.
  14. Amazingly, football is a game! There is a way of winning and there is a way of losing. David Moyes could've moaned about the missing players, challenges, weather, referee, lack of VAR, but he didn't. He remained courteous and respectful. There are quite a number of Premier League managers who could learn a lot from him.
  15. I thought that too but be fair he must have just got out of his kebab van. Must've been a busy night with a whole 9,000 there.
  16. I was being kind. I thought it was that cheap tat kit they use. XXXXL [Lard ass] ordered but in reality its only XXXL
  17. "Gentlemen's relish sir?" No, I think I'll give it a miss, mate
  18. Good luck for the future Andi and thanks for all of the memories.
  19. Its got to be Kenilworth Road as you're below pitchside for the first few rows that's if you don't get decapitated between the seat rows. Dreadful place. Loftus Road has to be the other. You can't see the touchline from the Upper Tier, there are numerous posts obstructing the view if you're unfortunate to be on either side plus the obligatory leg decapitation between the seat rows. They should close it down and ground share with Barnet.
  20. Absolutely spot on. I have never felt so disillusioned with the club as I do now and I've been supporting this club for 50 odd years. I just can't see where the owners can reason the actions they have taken and I am yet to hear any real valid reasons for the change other than a perceived clash of personalities & especially as we are worse off. Listening to more mumbo jumbo soundbites from a coach who seems way out of his depth who cannot game manage is as painful as reading "I'll be back on "X" when we're in the Premier League " from tweedle dumb. There is a complete lack of character running through this club and an apparent disregard for the fanbase and it will take a monumental drive from the same people to keep season ticket renewals at the same pace for next season. I'll look forward to how they're going to spin that one.
  21. After having a proper experienced manager and backroom staff, the club refer to type and think they can save lots of money and do better by getting rid of the chief exec, manager & backroom staff and replace him with such an underwhelming inexperienced coach. I can't recall anyone saying he was the best young manager in the country. He's done f-all to date unless you count as an achievement getting Oxford to near the top of the third tier or initially doing well at another massive club MK Dons before getting bulleted. At least Eustace did it at Championship level. I am really concerned that he doesn't have the technical knowhow to adapt and change during a match. This is increasingly becoming obvious especially when you come up against defensively minded teams. To use one of Manning's excruciating soundbites its all about behaviours & he is right. The behaviour of the board at this time has been nothing short of shocking. Where are we now as a club? Pretty much the same as when we had Pearson, albeit now we have more back from injury yet we are doing worse. Unlike others I can't see him lasting long here and that is because, like Pearson before him, the problem is not with the manager or head coach, it is more fundamental than that, its further up the chain of command.
  22. No one really knows for sure but the Cardiff defeat on the Saturday with a depleted squad, the barbed comments from Pearson about lack of contract when interviewed, the hasty announcement on Monday and the rabbit in the headlights look from tweedle dee and tweedle dumb and complete lack of transparency, leads me to believe that the dynamic duo, with all of their managerial experience were called out by Pearson changing the goalposts & thought that they knew better and Pearson told them where to stick it.
