  1. After Rotherham, which is a tidy little club, a Championship club, going to tinpot rovers won't look good on his CV.
  2. Its really too early to give any judgement on the new head coach. I think its fair to say that the majority of fans still feel a little bewildered with the need to change the manager. Let's see after ten games.
  3. Astounded that TGH isn't starting! MOM last week. We will miss his creativity in midfield.
  4. I avoid a well known German car maker because of the tacky badge. In fact, I was looking after one a few years back and was driving around with brown tape covering the badge in the middle of the steering wheel.
  5. Good luck for the future Curtis.
  6. I wouldn't read too much into his first interviews, blimey, he's been here less than half a day! Give the bloke a break!
  7. Don't let it get to you friend. New posters and your views are always welcome.
  8. I'm afraid its all part of the football food chain. We're higher up than them and although galling for them at the moment, its equally galling for us to see so much Bristol City talent ending up at Bournemouth. If they're worried about their next manager they have every right to be especially with a certain barton63754 looking.
  9. We have a good enough squad and we're going for promotion
  10. There's only one team in Bristol
  11. There's a Greek outsider in the reckoning Nigelos Pearsonos
  12. What a strange place to have your picture taken, outside a public convenience
  13. I'd rather have a half a bag of cement than the odious Davros
  14. Strap yourselves in, there's another 5 weeks of constructive and meaningful discussions to be had before appointing Curtis Fleming or Cisse ( whichever is the cheaper option & whoever rocks the boat the least)

My MOM today. Kept the midfield ticking over. Always looking to get on the front foot. Closely followed by Rob Dickie. I thought he was immense today and popped up with the goal.
  16. I saw him this morning in Bemmy getting some chewing bacci, henny & bennys and a flagon of sherry. Obviously setting himself up for a long meeting with the board later.
  17. He needn't have sent the messages. I suspect most ex managers wouldn't. It just underlines his integrity and at the same time highlights the lack of it with our owners. I'm afraid it looks like he was asked to do a clear the decks job which they were quite happy for him to carry out. He was asked to come up with a strategy with and without Scott, which he did. He's carried out his part whereas it looks like they've moved the goalposts. As time moves on although we can never know exactly what went on but I think we all can make an educated guess. Its times like this when really it's best to come clean and take responsibility and hold your hands up if you're found out to be in the wrong. There is so much wrong with football and its ironic that here, we had a manager who told it as it is, had all the experience, wasn't phased or had ideas distorted by financial pressures, he did simply what he was instructed and all he expected in return was the same. He simply was honest. How on earth is the new manager or head coach going to follow with this? I am glad he sent the messages because it shows that he can feel the depth of support and the feelings of the fan base. Thank you for all that you've done for our club. Make a speedy recovery and good luck in the future Nige, all of the Bristol City fan base will miss you.

I am not "in the know "and there is much negativity aimed towards the board because of the timing and the health issues but I can't believe that this was of their choosing. I think it all points to NP telling them where to stick it and him walking out.
  19. It won't be Lamps as he is more media popular than his employers. They won't like that. Where would he get the motivation to upsticks and manage a 2nd tier perennially under achieving side in the footballing backwater that is the West Country?
  20. "No need, there's plenty of spanners in the changing room" "You're fired"
  21. Yes, thanks for the insight. I just feel our owners have missed a massive trick. In Pearson we had a manager who has been there and done it. He's got all the credentials and experience needed to easily manage at this level. I think he likes to mould a team in his own style. He knew that this club has a reputation for letting managers/head coaches have the time to do it as well. I don't think he realised the extent of a financial mess the last management team had left us in but I actually thought he relished the challenge even more. On the outside and before he came to this club I've always thought he had all the charisma of a brick but since he's been here he's been a breath of fresh air simply telling it as it is. Sometimes taking 10 minutes to answer a question. I must say he doesn't suffer fools and that could clearly be seen on the press days with some of the banal questions put to him. He had a good working relationship with then chief exec Richard Gould until he left for the ECB. He's done everything the club have asked of him from reducing the wage bill & developing the academy players. There was a togetherness, a feel good factor despite being hampered with cost cutting measures in that here was an experienced person who knew what he was doing. A proper football man. There was a sense that we were on the cusp of something bigger. The £25M sale of Alex Scott should've been the green light to act as the financial springboard onto greater things and propel us up the league but the owners decided to twist when they had a better hand sticking. Its an unusual situation when you have over 90% of the fan base who can see the good job Nigel Pearson is doing in supporting the manager. Unfortunately the owners see different, have made a decision and with it all credibility they may have had has gone out of the window. Yet again we have to start again. A baffling and ludicrous decision and situation we find ourselves in.
