Mr Lansdown,
Sold us the dream
New stadium, new training ground
The same old regime
Oh Mr Lansdown,
Just sell the club,
**** off back to Guernsey and go cry in a pub
Think they need to stick with ten Hag to be honest. No benefit in changing again and he did do an encouraging job last season.
I say this as someone in my mid 20s who hates United more than any other club (yes, even more than those two) due to their dominance of the game during my childhood. Nowadays there are kids in secondary school who have never seen them be anything other than crap!
My better half is a lifelong Chelsea fan. She feels that Lampard revived the club in his first run as boss and was crucial at bringing youth through during the transfer ban era. Tuchel obviously came in and won the CL but she feels that it was Lampard that blooded the youngsters and enabled them to go on and achieve what they did. She was livid when they went back to throwing money at players and not giving their own youth a chance.
Obviously everything has gone rather 'different' for them now but that can't be blamed on him.
And yes, the prospect of being able to meet him if he takes the job here has her very excited indeed!
I still remember our old transfer policy of signing players because they had a good game against us.
Seems we've dusted that one off but for our manager selection instead!
