Amazing how people see games differently, I thought he got himself all over the pitch last night, harrying, sticking his foot in and breaking play up, I'll give you that he's not the best passer of the ball, but that's not really his job, that's more the James / Scott role. I think he's been very effective in the past few games that he's played alongside James, collectively they make a good partnership, allowing Scott to concentrate on his thing..

Have to agree thought Williams had a very good game, he really is starting to look like the player we thought we signed.

First half he started a few good moves.

Well they are making Bournemouth run around in circles (currently 0-2) and they look frightening in attack; so we need to run around...a lot and hope they play no first teamers. Then a 3rd penalty in a row in the last minute for us would do just fine.

    We have NO HOPE sorry

Yeah hopefully they don't hit double figures. Don't you remember 74?

Leeds unbeaten against little old Bristol City.

    1-0 Argyle.

    Edit. Disallowed

In the mid 90s Argyle played Burnley in the third tier play offs.

Cant remember why but our football club Buckfastleigh allowed two coach loads of Burley fans to stop off at our club on route for a beer or two.

They left the club in a right mess and after they had gone playing pool was out as they had taken all the pool balls with them.

Weather they ended up taking anyone out in the Devenport End **** knows.

I will always remember when Ray Cashley our goalie scored a goal. It was against Hull City in 73. I was at Ashton Gate with my dad, and it was a very cold and foggy night match with high winds. Hull had the advantage in the first half and we had the advantage in the second half. Cash got great distance with every kick in the second half as he had the strong wind behind him. He kicked out from the East End of the ground, and I was with my dad behind the goal in the open end. I remember to this day the ball from Rays clearance bouncing just in front of the Hull goalie, the ball bouncing over his head and the ball going in the net. At first there was some silence and then a fantastic roar as like me this was something different and I think no one actually believed what occurred.

We went on to win that night 3-1 and were either second or third in Division two at that time. Booby Gould and the sticks Ritchie were the other scorers for us that night.

I did not miss a home match at Ashton Gate that season.  I was not yet a teenager that season, and around ten or eleven years old. 73/74 were glorious years, and I will always remember those early years at Ashton Gate in the 70s.

I for one am quite excited for a good and solid home win against Hull next Saturday as we are doing well and NP now seems to have all the jigsaw puzzle pieces in place, however there is still more work to go with the current players he has.

Next Saturday should a hard fought but a positive win in front of probably 20,000 of you lucky ones attending Ashton Gate.

I should be able to live stream the match against Hull and also the Man City one most probably will be live on "be in sports" in OZ.

Remember another cracking game against Hull.

2 or 3 years earlier a 3/3 draw. they had Chris Chilton and Ken Wagstaff up front that day both top players.

I find it funny that it’s possible to be so definite in doom and gloom, ie we are gonna be relegated even though we haven’t reached that outcome, but in the opposite vain, we’re not allowed to be positive until we’ve reached the desired outcome.  Very pot and kettle.

OK some are like that but most just show disappointment. It dosen't last long.

Take Wigan never went to the game thinking this should be easy against bottom of the league, but after taking the lead your hopping for more.

Not the best performance but decent . Can you be Gloom without the Doom?

The City are on the way up i'm sure of that future looks bright  it's looking as good as i can remember.

Forget my Gloom i don't know what i'm worried about!!!!

We’ve drawn 1-1 away to Sunderland with 2 shots on target. 15th in the league. Be positive but this is nauseating.

Can see where your coming from a bit.

There's a City fan on the Sunderland forum asking them how much better than Reading were we today.

Was on their matchday thread looking for love. To be fair they have not given any even stick, would imagine he has posted on their forum before.

Comes across as cringeworthy and would suggest he would get a different response on the Millwall Forum.

North East football fan entitlement, just because 40 thousand people  in Sunderland have **** all else to do on a Saturday, they think that grants them big team status, Newcastle fans were as bad until they got their blood money

That was two comments what about those that thought he would be a good signing?

Typical one eyed view. Mackems  in general a pretty down to earth bunch, certainly not Billy Big Bollocks.

    Spot on.

This team is also starting to look like Pearson’s team, with players he’s persevered with like O’Leary, Vyner, Pring, Scott, Wells plus those he’s signed like Atkinson, Tanner, James & the first two subs.

Love the balance between experience & youth & absolutely no passengers unlike many recent sides we’ve put out.

And with more youth than experience in the squad the future looks bright.

Kicking it out on purpose. **** me

Thing is when he kicks it wide it's always going to be long rather than short with the chance of their wide player picking it up and exposing our defence.

Although it looks shit and gives position away i can see why we don't pump it up the middle, loose the ball and they have the width of the pitch to attack. Much better to concede a throw halfway line then get the opposition to try and break us down from there.

    Indeed.

All Nige needs now is to start playing fast attacking football ala Danny Wilson.

With that i tip my cap to you as the bigest wind up merchant on here. Or your just insane.?
