  1. But is he an academy product, according to Bristol Boy jr. probably not.
  2. I was right the first time then. Cardiff's finishing though............
  3. Offshore Banking Business - The Members
  4. I'd say it's about 50 50. Some condemn it but with caveats. Example below. Ignoring the shocking use of the English language, this idiot and others like him on that thread, think that timewasting is worthy of a death threat. Members of the Taliban are probably reading that and thinking that's a bit reactionary.
  5. Ok so you have now confirmed you a wind up merchant. You have read a statement of intent from the club's official website, and deliberately decided to misinterpret it and twist it to match your agenda. And don't ******* quote me as if I am some kind of disciple. You need some of this to sort you out.
  6. So last week the opposition coaches had no experience and don't understand the modern game, this week the coach is too experienced to understand the modern game? I wonder what will happen if they meet a team with a Manager in that sweet spot in between?
  7. "Bristol City Football Club (in the Third Division at the time) was given a F.A. ‘Centre of Excellence’ licence. The idea behind these centres was to develop young local footballers and produce home-grown talent for professional clubs to use for their first teams."

  9. It's an international problem so I am not sure there is much that can be done in isolation.
  10. Yes, very much one with the right attitude apparently. I know that Nige said he was going to stay in his own age group for now, but I wonder if this is a sign that he may be pushed further up the list quicker? If he was to go out on loan I think it will be a local outfit so our coaches can work with him the majority of the time.
  11. Ah yes that's right he's a racist, tweeted a picture to have a humorous dig at the royal family completely forgetting the ethnic origin of one of them and immediately deleted. I am sure that makes him a racist, we will forget the fact that he was married to a girl of colour, (however briefly) and the fact that his whole journalistic career, particularly the music part of it, points to him not being a racist. I am not sure when "being hated by Millwall fans" was a bad thing either.
  12. It's what you said, but not what their statement says.
  13. OK. But what's their reasoning for not paying Nantes what they are owed? They should pay up and then go after the recovery, not withold payment until they win yet another court case.
  14. Yes. If you are willing to go to a court of arbitration then you should stick by it's decision, it is by very definition an equitable way to solve disputes. Unless you are Cardiff of course in which case you throw your toys out of pram if you don't get the result you want.
  15. Another Sunderland documentary incoming.
  16. Just looked at the Sunderland forum and they don't seem at all surprised. Something about a power struggle with the DOF?
  17. They say that it's a sign that you are getting older when female police officers and traffic wardens appear attractive. Those two have made me realise that I am getting old. *edit* And I don't mean the horses!
  18. Ignoring the town itself. I visit my elderly father in law who lives right on the sea front at least twice a month, and it's a 100% better around that area than it was. I appreciate that's an improvement from a very low bar, but it feels like it's almost every week there is something built or renovated. It is though, the worst town in North Somerset for EV charging points, which is terrible for a "tourist destination". With all those parking spaces on the sea wall, they could easily dedicate the last 20 or 30 to the new roadside chargers.
  19. I wonder if they have ever arranged a pre season friendly? That would be a good away day.
  20. I am quite happy for Scott to have a quieter game at RWB until after the transfer window, before unleashing him on the Championship in September.
  21. They are professional footballers, that is the aim of the academy, to help players become professionals and have a career. It's not your criteria so thank **** you don't run the academy..
  22. The only place I don't like over there is Boston, the coastal towns are pretty good, even the much maligned "Skeggy" is better than some of the other tourist destinations around the country. We have considered moving there if our finances can't sustain us through early retirement, we could buy something in a lakeside position for around 50% of what we could achieve for our place in Portishead.
