  1. Giant - Calvin Harris and Rag n Bone Man
  2. It's an international problem so I am not sure there is much that can be done in isolation.
  3. Yes, very much one with the right attitude apparently. I know that Nige said he was going to stay in his own age group for now, but I wonder if this is a sign that he may be pushed further up the list quicker? If he was to go out on loan I think it will be a local outfit so our coaches can work with him the majority of the time.
  4. Ah yes that's right he's a racist, tweeted a picture to have a humorous dig at the royal family completely forgetting the ethnic origin of one of them and immediately deleted. I am sure that makes him a racist, we will forget the fact that he was married to a girl of colour, (however briefly) and the fact that his whole journalistic career, particularly the music part of it, points to him not being a racist. I am not sure when "being hated by Millwall fans" was a bad thing either.
  5. It's what you said, but not what their statement says.
  6. OK. But what's their reasoning for not paying Nantes what they are owed? They should pay up and then go after the recovery, not withold payment until they win yet another court case.
  7. Yes. If you are willing to go to a court of arbitration then you should stick by it's decision, it is by very definition an equitable way to solve disputes. Unless you are Cardiff of course in which case you throw your toys out of pram if you don't get the result you want.
  8. Another Sunderland documentary incoming.
  9. Just looked at the Sunderland forum and they don't seem at all surprised. Something about a power struggle with the DOF?
  10. They say that it's a sign that you are getting older when female police officers and traffic wardens appear attractive. Those two have made me realise that I am getting old. *edit* And I don't mean the horses!
  11. Ignoring the town itself. I visit my elderly father in law who lives right on the sea front at least twice a month, and it's a 100% better around that area than it was. I appreciate that's an improvement from a very low bar, but it feels like it's almost every week there is something built or renovated. It is though, the worst town in North Somerset for EV charging points, which is terrible for a "tourist destination". With all those parking spaces on the sea wall, they could easily dedicate the last 20 or 30 to the new roadside chargers.
  12. I wonder if they have ever arranged a pre season friendly? That would be a good away day.
  13. I am quite happy for Scott to have a quieter game at RWB until after the transfer window, before unleashing him on the Championship in September.
  14. They are professional footballers, that is the aim of the academy, to help players become professionals and have a career. It's not your criteria so thank **** you don't run the academy..
  15. The only place I don't like over there is Boston, the coastal towns are pretty good, even the much maligned "Skeggy" is better than some of the other tourist destinations around the country. We have considered moving there if our finances can't sustain us through early retirement, we could buy something in a lakeside position for around 50% of what we could achieve for our place in Portishead.
  16. The technique I like is where he takes it on his chest and turns 180 degrees to give himself attacking options.
  17. I was also disappointed in not having a reason to visit Lincoln again, I really like it especially up around castle and the steep hills leading up to it. The one thing I always wonder though is how much time is lost by the residents in a day, having to wait for the trains that cut right through the high street. Most odd.
  18. When the a academy first started its stated aim was to create professional footballers, if those players played and were successful for us that was a bonus.
  19. There are people with scruples out there. My friend follows Yate Town and said he was chatting to 4 guys who were gasheads and have become season ticket holders there instead. There maybe more. Was it @Seventeenwho said on here that he hasn't been down since Barton came in?
  20. Relax - Frankie Goes To Hollywood
  21. How many players did they let him sign in the summer? Money to throw away apparently @Mr Popodopolous !
  22. It's hard isn't it? I keep telling myself we are not out of August yet. I keep telling myself we lost the first two matches of the season. I keep telling myself that we had a similar start under Dean Holden, with one defeat in September and then never won a game in October. I keep telling myself that the vultures are circling for our prize assets. But then I see the way we are playing, and we have looked so good even with only 20 minutes from our star striker. But then I see that we seem to have strength in depth in many positions. But then I see the younger players taking their chances to be a part of it all But then I see the attitude in the camp and the atmosphere, and being told by a player "it's as good as I can remember in my career". But then I see a coaching team who are experienced enough, but flexible enough to deal with the changes in the game, and somehow it feels different to me this time. But there is a familiarity in that it's how I felt about successful teams here in the past. But I am reigning in the positivity.... Maybe a hammering at Blackpool will help.
