There should be succession planning for all roles at the club, not just the players.
If we are doing well (it has happened!) then you need to plan for you manager being poached. If you are doing badly you need to keep tabs on potential replacements and move quickly to secure them.
It's a drum I bang on here for a while, but this relies on having some identity/ ethos/philosophy that underpins the club. We don't. Unlike a club like Swansea who recruit often quite obscure coaches but ones who fit with how they want to play. Whereas we lurch from one style to another depending on who we recruit as manager/coach.

Strange for RG to come on when he didn't really have anything to say. Unfortunately for him the timing of the NP announcement left him a bit exposed. Can't really expect him to answer footballing questions IMHO.
The fact NP has had two doses of Covid - the first of which I understood to be very serious - and is still unwell shouldn't be underestimated in terms of his appetite to resume such a demanding role. He has been very open that for him there is more to life than football, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if he decided he did not want to come back. He'd get my respect if he did.

Generic Scapegoat one would be useful. I struggle to keep up with who I'm supposed be be blaming.

Best home support I’ve witnessed all season. And probably for a fair while before that too.
Having been up there a few times it was always very poor in the past so it took me by surprise.
I think it took our 3k by surprise too. There was plenty of noise from us in the concourse before the game but once out in the bowl our fans were completely drowned out and hardly a single song of ours managed to get across our whole end.
Hats off to Cov fans - I thought they were brilliant.Maybe some of our younger fans peaked a bit too early!!
It was bit phasing when alot of their songs were 'city' themed and were the one we usually sing!! Do we join in or try and sing it after them? We do need some more songs unique to us.

Gotta say the Coventry support yesterday was fantastic. Loud all day even when going behind. That incessant drum never let up to give us a chance to getting going. Just shows what you can do even in a souless bowl (though the lack of gaps between stand probably keeps the noise in).

Or, maybe get a full back to take it, get some movement off of each other ( almost as if it’s planned/coached! ), throw it to their feet & receive it back & therefore keep possession. Just a thought. COYR
Yes, it should be part of the position specific training for all fullbacks, and maybe even wide players.
In a game situation it's just as likely (maybe more so) that the wide man is closest to the ball that's put out for a throw in. As soon as it goes out let the wingback bomb on and the wide man throw it down the line for him (at least when the throw in conceded by the opposition in their half). As you someone said, all this waiting for a specialist take a throw just let's the opposition get set.

The most annoying thing about the Kalas long throw is that you want Kalas on the end of it!!
Surely, there's another player that could chuck it in. What about Vyner yesterday?

Sack a player.....anyone will do.....the rest of them may start giving a sh1t then and play.
Sacking managers makes no difference....the players have lived that before.
Why not you shoot one at HT? That'll learn em.

Didn't know this. Don't usually watch MOTDx but he was on it just now. The pink hair is a fundraiser for cancer research. He comes across well. Fair play to the lad.
Apologies if already posted.

Good luck to the lad. Hope we get to see him in the first team. Love to see a player from the academy come through.

I don't think playing Weiman, Martin and Wells in a supposed 3-5-2 can work, especially with Bakinson in there. (Though I like him). Leaves the defence too vulnerable.

Great to hear. Glad he has such a good day. Can you bring him every week??

Do all people affected with colour blindness have the same colour clashes?
No. I do struggle with colours but that particular shade of green I could differentiate from red. Other shades are harder for me.
Take the OPs point, though. Absolutely no need.

Really great to hear this. Very lucky to have someone like Tinman who cares so much about the club and young players in this role. Future DoF in the making.

I've always liked Callum in spite of his performances!! Really think he could be a player but he does need to show it as he's not a kid any more.
If you look back at some of the YouTube videos of his performances for Oxford you'll see what his natural game actually is - a very direct skilful winger.
I truly believe the lad has been completely bamboozled by being overcoached by successive managers (we all know the chief culprit) and his willingness to comply and do what's been asked ultimately hasn't helped his game progress.
NP is different. He admits himself that he isn't a tactical mastermind, but what is doing is building an environment where players feel trusted to play their own game and take responsibility for their own performances rather than just do as they are told. (I know what kind of environment I would perform best in).
If he can stay fit I wouldn't be surprised to see a Bobby Reid type of transformation that will win over the doubters.

Good to hear. Any academy player that makes the grade as a professional reflects well on the club and improves our chances of recruiting new talent. Well done Jo Jo.

We’ve not jumped the gun, we’ve installed the infrastructure for safe standing - but the rail seating currently in place is fixed so that it’s a seating area - which is easily adapted to be safe standing
What's the difference? Can you elaborate? Does safe standing differ from rail seating in that you cannot convert to seats? It only can allow standing?
I'd love to be standing again, but given I sit with a bunch of mates the whole relocating en mass would be a pain.

Yes he was really ill with depression,
And as a suffer of depression and knowing first hand how it can effect you and your work,
Hunt has all my sympathy and more, the way I look back on in is a player who was basically our "injured" for his entire time here through no fault of his own
Dani Rodriguez or elokobi if you will
It wasn't a stolen living it was someone who was mentally ill
If he does confirm that, then hopefully people on here will be a bit more understanding.

Simple solution: Don't have a singing section, put some home fans in the Atyeo and divide it off. Don't play music until 2:45. Ignore what the stewards say. Atmosphere will build a bit more, make it more hostile for the away team, it feels too cosy for them I think.
I always remember the old Ashton Gate with the tunnel in the Atyeo the away team players trudging to the tunnel before the game and there being a bit of stick given and boo's. We make it far too comfortable.
Get Downsy off the mic as well shouting garbage for an hour before kick off.
Allow drinking in the stands (Not a BCFC issue)
Funnily enough I have as thinking of posting about the 'singing section'.
I think they should do away with it. Much better when these fans were spread out amongst all the stands. Far more likely get others to join in.
As for the OP's question there have been innumerable interviews with players and managers that have said what a positive impact the crowd can have.

Hi Jerry,
I bought tickets online for Cardiff away for my son who has a disability and for myself. We are both ST holders in the South Stand and have been for many years (Atyeo before that). However, despite assigning the tickets to me and my son when buying, I did not receive a carers ticket and had to pay full price.
I am pretty sure I was able to buy my ST online for this season and the carers price was adjusted automatically.
It my son's birthday so as the queue on the phone was already 28 I didn't want to risk waiting and not get tickets, so I had to buy the ones at full price.
Should I have been able to buy the carers ticket online? Or don't Cardiff offer a carers ticket?
Many thanks
Damian

Good luck to the guy. I thought he was a fantastic talent but whatever reason - style of football in the championship, managerial tactics - never really got a chance to establish himself. To be filed away with Vilmos Seebok for me. Really disappointed we never got the best out of him.
Adam strikes me as a man of integrity. It's obvious his family has never settled here and that's been especially tough during covid. I don't bear him any animosity in asking to leave. He's doing so when his stock is high after the euros and we may still get a decent fee. All the best Adam.
