  1. Congratulations Sam.  Watching these homegrown players make an impact is fantastic and one of the main reasons I go to football, along with watching attacking play.  I appreciate that NP has his faults, but he has managed the introduction of our academy players really well.  Long may it continue.  ?

None of us will know for certain that these are SL's feelings but what we do know is that Dave Coterill and Scott Golborne came back so it's more than likely b***ox

It's only the decent players he blocks.  Shit ones can come back.

I have enjoyed OSIB especially the Cider Withs but life is short, @Shtanley, so spend it doing what makes you happy.   We'll get by.

That is incredible! To even make it to the first team from what must be an enormous academy takes some doing at a club like Man Utd. OK, they are going to be able to recruit the very best kids but it`s still impressive,

In recent years they been able to buy the world's best players (not that their recruitment actually secured them!) so for an academy player to still make the squad is phenomenal.

Just copy Rugby, their system has worked great for years. When the player looks up and sees the clock stopped the reason to waste time just goes

Yes, I'd prefer they stop the clock.  Time wasting and feigning injury - particularly head injuries - is ruining the game.

Would screw up catching trains/bus etc for some but ideally schedules would change to accommodate this.

I had no idea that he had a younger sister with CP.  it goes some way to explaining why on the occasions he’s been a bit of a bellend off the pitch in one sphere, he appears a caring bloke off the pitch in another sphere.  I’ve never quite been able to square off how he can act so markably different.  This kind of explains it.

He is just a young man that has made some mistakes.  I'd hate to be defined by some of the bellend behaviour I've got up to in the past.  The only difference is I wasn't famous and there weren't any cameras about back in my day.

What a really genuine caring young man.   Hope he get lots of game time in the WC.

Is that the German model where the fans own the club, but the 'managing elite' get all the benefits and are never sacked as they control by direct appointments the committees which decide everything including who the two candidates are for the token fan elections?

The German model is actually more corrupt that the Premier League model.

If that's the case then maybe not how it has been implemented in that particular way.  Some kind of fan control is what is needed. That said they still have affordable ticket prices and safe standing.

And who really cares who owns United they can just **** off northern *****

This isn't just about Man Utd.  This is cautionary tale about how disenfranchised fans are at the mercy of global capitalism.

We need to move to the German model, where fans have a controlling stake in their clubs.

So it was just section 82?? People in the south stand and dolman were singing at the injured player (which I agree is out of order) choudry even singled out a fan in the dolman stand buy hey let's just blame s82.

And the second incident you're referring to was in a cup game if I'm not mistaken? So season tickets were not valid for that game, literally anyone could sit where they wanted but yeah let's just blame S82 again, much easier to do that.

I sit in the South Stand and I could only hear S82 giving him stick.   There may have been some in the South Stand and Dolman but they were drowned out by S82 from where I sit.   I find them embarrassing more and more these days.

If he had gone down holding his injury, he would not have got the abuse.

It was the constant slamming of his hands on the ground (like a 5 year old having a tantrum), which generated the abuse.

The player was also having a go at the ref (while still on the floor), for not stopping the game. As it was not a head injury, the ref quite rightly played on.

If he ruptured his Achilles or done anything close it then completely an understandable action.  Obviously in pain and wanted urgent medical attention.  Absolutely embarrassing response from our supporters giving abuse to someone clearly badly hurt.

  10. Kadji was off the pace of the game, and maybe played within himself.  He attempted some potentially decent through balls and passes up to strikers which were intercepted and this seemed to curtail his ambition.

We just didn't press with any energy or play with any urgency last night.  We missed Tommy's enthusiasm and the runs of both him and Wells to invite a pass or free up space for others to exploit.

It isn't about disrespect or not wanting to win.  As others have said this team was largely first teamers.  Players needed rest and NP needs to blood squad players.   It shows what we knew all along, we have a decent team but lack depth in the squad as whole.

    Congratulations to Lincoln.
