  1. Played far more football than anyone else in that squad over the last year plus that pitch for the last game was a real leg sapper. So probably just needs a rest. Can't be a refletion on his ability ot performances, that's for sure.
  2. Vyner's a bit better than Cheltenham Town surely. Can't see him agreeing to go there.
  3. Is it really too much to expect a question or two about how we came to be in such a perilous ffp position, about the disastrous appointment of Dean Holden, about why we now have to go shopping for players in Oxford not Chelsea? Of course it is. All that's brushed under the carpet and airbrushed away in one word - "covid". What a coward. Maybe it's embarrassment or ego. You don't get to be a billionaire by admitting you got things wrong though, it would seem. He can be proud of the infrastructure he's built and putting big gigs on for the city and region but why he has to come on Robins tv to waffle on about it is beyond me.
  4. Dependent on Semenyo being fit or not being sold. Which will be news to Lee Hendrie.
  5. You'd like to think they'd ask him that now though, wouldn't you! Q: Who's getting relegated, Lee? A: Bristol City Q: Why've you picked them then? No-one's getting angry about Lee Hendrie - "he ain't worth it". But some people do have opinions about the absolute state of football broadcasting.
  6. Sky for one, I would have thought - unless they're happy to employ people regarded as ****wits. Come to think of it...
  7. Because someone's paying him money to have an opinion, so at least make an effort to have a considered opinion, informed by some facts and solid evidence. Otherwise, your opinion's worth shit. You're entitled to it but it's worth shit. It's the equivalent of him not making the effort to train during the week, then turning up on a Saturday and playing shit. Can you turn up to your job, trot out a load of lazy shite and be paid for it? You're right though, Lee Hendrie's opinion ain't worth anyone's time or money.
  8. Teams don't work like that any more though, do they - it's all about the collective. Not successful teams anyway. If he doesn't learn to pull his weight, he'll waste his talent and his career will be a non event.
  9. Not in our current financial position, not for a 5th choice centre back.
  10. Not exactly like losing Gary Collier to them, is it? Quite the opposite, in fact - a time for unbridled celebration.
  11. He was out of contract. We offered him a new one. What more could we have done?
  12. What's the short version - is the news good, bad or indifferent for them?
  13. Well if 17 was Baker's old number and now someone else is wearing it.... Just a bit of fun to pass the time, eh?
  14. Indeed Pearson didn't have a problem with him being around last season though - it's not as if he's persona non grata unlike, at a guess, Bakinson - if he was told to make himself scarce I wouldn't be in the least surprised.
  15. Well remembered. A new Schoolboys Enclosure! Unlucky girls ?
  16. If we can get confirmation he isn't at our training today, that's as good as confirmed he's on his way out, surely?
  17. No threat in behind. Wasteful in possession. Good finisher. Martin, Wells and Weimann have been here together long enough for someone to make them work as a combination. No-one has. It's Semenyo that makes the forward line, the whole team, tick. We're back to playing percentage football aimed at Chris Martin.
  18. Not remotely adequate as a replacement for Semenyo. Imho. Wells has nothing like the pace and power of Semenyo and those are the 2 qualities that make us twice the side without him. Opposition sides are scared stiff of Semenyo, not something you can say of Wells. Imho.
  19. Wishful thinking I'm afraid, unless you know how Wells can add pace and power to his game between now and July 30. This is shit news. And no mistake.
