@Harry when running I use the strava app too but I have a cheap sports direct bumbag that I use to keep my phone in. Unlike a sad old Brit tourist on the Costa Del Sol though I have the bumbag well hidden under my running top and the pouch at the back to avoid any untoward interference. . Have used this before for 5aside when I was on endomondo and it worked fine and didn’t find it at all cumbersome. And it was only about a fiver.

Was out at 05:20 this morning for 11k - I knew I wouldn't do it in the heat of the day otherwise, even after a few glasses of Rose last night! It was nice though - we live right by AG so straight down through the park and onwards up the Cumberland Rd/Commercial Rd/Clarence Rd straight to Temple Meads, up Victoria St down Corn St and back all along the Waterfront/Mardyke/Grain Barge/Nova and back up through the park. It was starting to get hot by the time I got back in just under an hour. Not sure I can manage another early start tmrw though ?
  13. Covid has thrown a massive spanner in the works. It will be really tough I think to get any where with this now.

Ha! I guess the running is sometimes just a means to an end. Outdoor time, music on, feeling of achievement, fitness increasing, weight decreasing, mental health upturn are all positive benefits. Varying your route helps too - albeit I tend to stick to the docks, Ashton Court and the towpath.

  19. Can't see that particular bit happening! I can do it at the Rugby, but not at the Football. It's a fkcuing farce!
  20. Well this is quite a surprise https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/52966669 Premiership clubs have unanimously agreed to cut the salary cap by £1.4m. The senior ceiling will come down to £5m from the 2021/22 season, plus the existing £600,000 of academy credits, to help clubs with the losses incurred as a result of coronavirus. The reduction will be in place until the end of the 2023/24 season. An announcement is expected on Tuesday. It is hoped the cap could then return to the current level of £6.4m plus £600,000 academy credits. Changes have also been agreed to the marquee player dispensation, which will remain as two players' salaries not counting towards the cap for the next two seasons before being cut to just one from the 2022/23 season onwards.
