No banners please. I will be at the Stoke game and can take no responsibility for my actions if you start taking the piss :)

Slowly seeing the light @Miah Dennehy ?:sub:

As for the tweets I'm guessing whoever does the City one's have been around the Bristol rugby "tweeter" many of their tweets and replies are jokes and digs at opposition, they had a field day building up to the Bath game

It has to be said that selling out this game is a pretty remarkable achievement.  There are about 5,000 season ticket holders meaning 20,000 tickets have been sold.  Prices range between £25 and £42 for adults.  Add to this the beer and food sales which are going to be more than a football match then it's probably a bigger money spinner than the Man U and Man CIty games.  Only difference there is I suspect the TV money is less.

It's always a bad time to admit something to be ashamed of...

    Not sure it is

There is a lot of rugby interest around the region, having the big local derby on a Friday night when there is nothing else on also helps

They will struggle with the upcoming Saturday fixtures as a lot of Bristol's support comes from combination players and members - sadly the hierarchy at AG8 have failed to pick up on this

Painful as it is to say Surrey look worthy winners - Morkel was a very good signing as was Stoneman. The form of Burns and Pope plus the Curran twins has meant they’re not just beating teams they’re routinely destroying them like today.

Somerset might look to next season and think Brooks may do a similar job. What we need is to bulk the batting up - Tres/Hildy can’t go on forever.

    Sadly agree about Surrey

We have to hope we can beat them at home and somewhere else they fall apart - or even going into September they get done by the weather to force a no result?

Just clutching at straws a little

*** off Notts, you useless ***ts

Only consolation it should mean the title is now a two horse race between us and Surrey

We finish at Notts so maybe they'll equally as shit then - or maybe they are just bitter about us rolling them over last weekend

  5. Fro those interested there is a fantasy rugby competition online  HERE being run by "The rugby Magazine"

Pick a squad of 28 players then choose a starting 15 (along with kicker and captain) leaving 13 "IMPACT PLAYERS"  <- Just for @MichaelRobartes

    Local supporters league 1e6ce39e243f

    Bristol Supporters league 4029777864e8

Someone’s got to play that time I guess. Always prefer the second game - win and you take the momentum into the final

Actually prefer not having to bust a gut to get up the M5 too early - typically the first year in ages I didn't buy the platinum membership so a ticket is unlikely sadly this year

Off to Bristol v Nottingham now before the connacht game tonight. Really don't know what to expect from either game, be interesting to see the new signings though

Any indications what the sides will be, 2nd XV against Notts and 1st XV against Connaught?

Some Yanks were interested I was told a week ago, I just do not see why anyone would buy into them when they literally have no value to offer any potential buyer - unless it is a "proper" multi millionaire/billionaire. And if it was a proper billionaire they would be going elsewhere.

How about the chances there is a supporter akin to SL out there who is willing to invest?

I must say, watching Somerset, indeed, any cricket, from afar and mainly on dodgy streams, the 20/20 giggle is quite entertaining.

The current round of Championship matches, however, with Somerset chasing the last Essex wicket and Lancs striving for what seems an unlikely 30 runs to beat Surrey (and help Somerset's chances of a first Championship) is gripping like no 20/20 has ever been.

Strangest experience I had was the last day of the season a few years back sat at Taunton watching the last day at Middlesex on TV surrounded by players and supporters of Somerset

It looked like we were going to do it until the ridiculous batting / bowling in the last hour

Much more entertaining than any T20 game - though will like a nice easy win on Sunday please
