No I was banned with no reason - I don't go around gobbing off, no point at all.

Not sure whether it is possible now, but for a long time this forum wouldn't even let you register if you had 'gas' in your username.

Just for balance @GazSaid, not sure of your previous name so can't see if you were banned from here

Sadly it's just a myth about having "Gas" in the username on here - as others  said there are many opposition supporters who post on here and as long as your posts are not personally offensive or trolling you will be welcome on here - just like other Rovers supporters are (of course you may get bit of stick)

Just for balance I tried in the past to join a Rovers forum - never got authorised . . .

    PS Mind the Gap

Several members of the family are expected to be present at the club's annual Valentine's Ball tomorrow night after taking in Rovers' League Two game against Morecambe at the Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

They certainly live life in the fast lane !

I always think of the Maxwells.  One idiot son notionally running Reading, the other idiot son notionally running Oxford.

Of course supercrook Robert Maxwell entirely controlled both; but not on paper.

Because of the Maxwells, I thought the ruling had changed that owners couldn't be "associated" with another club owner - thus meaning Mrs L is saved

Yes, we had CEO's of other clubs we were due to play willing to pay a fee to guarantee he would play at their grounds last year.

OK - He will only be playing twice away for us this season

What I meant was, am sure for what we are paying him for those 6 games we could actually sign a player that would be of more use?

Sad to see Tres go but somtimes his captancy was frustrating. Slightly bemused we've got Rodgers coming straight in and taking that on and Allenby doing the 1 day stuff.  Do the likes of Hildy not want it?

Agree that hopefully it was probably time for a change - would also assume this may be the start of the end of Tres?

I'd hope getting Rogers over didn't involve him being promised the captaincy!

No problem with Allenby in the shorter form, but agree that it's interesting Hildreth not mentioned

But you sound like a bunch of ten year old arguing over who's the hardest. It doesn't matter a jot. And it's only history in that it's in the past, it doesn't need rewriting either way and certainly doesn't need defending. The history of our club is what's happened on the pitch, people fighting on the terraces is really a bit of an embarrassing chapter and should be forgotten if at all possible.

If it doesn't matter, why bother replying ?

It really wasn't that bad, it's being glorified beyond belief on this thread at the moment. Yes, there was more trouble in the 70s and 80s than now but it was still perfectly avoidable if you didn't want to be involved. All that's happening here right now is a few old men's egos being polished up a bit.

Firstly you say "it really wasn't that bad" but on here and other threads before you mention how you keep away from trouble

Very easy to say if you kept away from it, that it didn't happen but clearly it did !
