  1. So what sort of shape did we play in the end? 4 at the back or 3?
  2. Feels like a big game to set the tone/momentum after coming back from international break. Nigel has made this all about the players (wrongly or rightly) and so a lot of pressure on them today. Would take a scrappy 2-1 or 1-0 win for sure. Might even take a draw to be honest after our recent form.
  3. It's starting to feel a bit like Lee Johnson's "players I can trust" gambit. Not great.
  4. What's the walk like from LA P&R to the ground? Is it easy enough? Might do this next time
  5. I imagine he's planning to sell once the sports quarter/village is built. These things take a long time though so he's on the look out for investors now and testing the waters a little? As others, and The Athletic article, have highlighted there are a lot of foreign owners in the championship who I imagine were seen as very exciting and promised a lot when they came in; only to now be stuck in the championship with only a ton of debt to show for it. We've seen SL's managerial appointments; doesn't bode well for appointing someone to take over from him...

I'm not sure it's naive; I think all evidence points toward that being the case. If it's not then why don't you tell us the information you have? Or is this more about trying to give the impression that you know more than everyone else? (Or more likely it's total nonsense)

These really stood out to me too; especially the second one. Surely you just say "yes" ?
  9. Guys there is no way we're getting him in. Zip your trousers back up.
  10. Honestly if we can manage 2 wins and a draw that would be pleasing at the moment
  11. Don't stand up too quick though; don't want any more injuries
  12. Seems like only days ago this forum was full of excitement for Pearson, and prior to that; crying out for Hughton. Look at where both of them are now. Maybe that generation of managers are simply old-hat now.
  13. What would you like him to do? Sack Pearson? The manager that we were so glad we got because lansdown had finally gone after a proven manager? And then what? Who would we hire next?
  14. I still have faith in Pearson. This isn't his team really. Thanks to COVID he was incredibly limited in the transfer market and so rebuilding this team is going to take more transfer windows than it would normally. Obviously you hope that he would be able to get more out of this current crop of players; but this squad is not good; hence why we are rebuilding. For me as long as we stay up this season, and have some good performances from promising young players like Massengo, Scott, Pring, and Tanner then it's an acceptable season. The previous squad that was assembled (and then sold off) under Johnson and Ashton has run its course and we need a proper rebuild, and thanks to COVID it wil be slower than we'd like. People suggesting to get rid of Pearson; do you honestly think someone like Ryan Lowe would have us battling for the top 6? Would he be better than Pearson, and have the experience for rebuilding the club over the next 2 seasons? I'm not sure.
  15. Highlights of Fulham kicking Blackburn's arses: https://www.skysports.com/football/blackburn-rovers-vs-fulham/report/447525 Just tore them apart! ?
  16. It's a rebuild year, for a club that was in proper relegation form last season. We've just had a summer with much reduced spending capacity, in fact the main thing we had to do was reduce the spending on wages. As fevs said, I'd much rather do a rebuild as a weak team in the championship than as a strong/okay team in league one. I think we'll stay up, but might be closer than we would have liked. Hopefully see some reinforcements in January; maybe some loans working those contacts of Nige's!
  17. Some slight worries about Pearson creeping in now if I'm honest. I still back him though; on the basis that if we got rid of him who the hell would want to join this shambles? We are a massive rebuild project and I think Pearson is probably the best manager a club of our calibre, in our current state, could get.
  18. We are so lucky Weimann stayed with us. Him and Bents are head and shoulders above the rest
  19. Nice combination there to create that chance between Weimann, Wells, and Martin ?
  20. Was unlucky, but you make your own luck in this game. Was a good move from them, meanwhile at the other end we are wasting our chances.
  21. "Anytime" apart from now, or yesterday, or tomorrow? what an empty statement
  22. Would like to see him in the role Weimann played on Saturday; as a no.10 but behind a front 2 of Weimann and Wells. If he can't provide assists in that setup then he never will and needs to go. If what others have said about him not training well, then it is entirely justified by Pearson to not pick him in the squad.
  23. We really need to hold on to Massengo and Bentley if we possibly can. Consistently good performers for us.
  24. Very likeable, always a good guest on podcasts and engaged well on twitter with the fans. Good luck to him
