    'the view'

    Right oh.

So it's back to you're with us or we hate you.

There's no nuances there  it's a binary position if you want to get to the nitty gritty

If you delve further, the majority when based on information that's not confirmed and added from assumptions and confirmation bias are entirely capable of getting things wrong too

Much as. Singular voice can also be wrong

Acceptances that there are opposing views and finding middle ground is the nuance .

Still loving the press conference, refreshing honesty and reckon a Flem as Manager Nige DofF relationship would be fun.

No idea where you’re getting “you’re with us or we hate you” from? It’s perfectly feasible to have a strong view, but a) accept you might be wrong and b) respect that others can other views. I’ve a view that everything adds up to the leadership having wanted NP out and achieved that in a reasonably underhand way. I think it’s okay for me to have that view without needing SL to go on TV and saying “we wanted NP out and achieved that in a reasonably underhand way”. Doesn’t mean I know I’m right, it means that’s my opinion. I don’t hate people with other opinions.

Yeah 2+2 equals 65 billion to fit confirmation bias.

    Loving the nuance

That’s your view, it’s not the view. The nuance can be different views rather than people aren’t able to assimilate the same information and reach different conclusions. The idea that strong opinions lack nuance, lacks nuance.

I find the Tins thing probably the most astounding thing in this whole circus of spleen venting nonsense.

What next? Scott Murray to be deported back to Scotland for not cutting up the kit in protest?

P.s it was in Yate that he got spat at whilst shopping with his Mrs.His form was off at the time.

I get that for those who wanted this, they won’t be angry, but the idea that the fans are the circus, blimey.

  4. Find it odd, or maybe just sad, that we’ve all seen plenty of times that NP has been called out for his periods of managerial under performance, or at least underwhelming performance. But he at least has had plenty of actual, real success. Now we’re asked to buy into the vision of a group of people with zero history of success.

We’re expected to believe that Tinnion is the person to have the skills to see what’s needed to get to the Prem… ahead of someone who actually has achieved getting to the Prem.

We’re expected to believe JL’s/SL’s strategy of “I want to be in the Prem because I burned a lot of money 5 years ago” in some way resembles an actual strategy, when not prepared to spend money vs what’s plausibly required?!?

Whilst the Bristol Sport bots have been successfully called out on here, we need to avoid being collectively gaslighted by various snakes in the grass, the whole thing is ludicrous and no amount of spineless spin changes that.

  5. Seems to be growing clarity that on first team footballing matters, the board (to the extent we have one), had a choice between going with the views of Pearson or Tinnion and chose… Tinnion. In no footballing sense is that anything other than ludicrous, so must have come down to a smoke blowing contest, which Tinnion was always going to win comfortably.

No money to spend, followed by King vs youngsters, followed by let’s go into the free agent market, is making it increasingly seem as if we’re all stuck in some Truman Show-esque remake of W1A or The thick of it. If someone wrote it as a script it would be rejected for being too far fetched.

Even with "doing a Luton", they did even better once they got Rob Edwards in. Quite aside from how dislikable Jones is, I just don't see anything in his track record that suggests he's the right person to get a tune out of our squad. At least with Rowett, I can see a logic, even if I'm not sure I'd enjoy the football.

Of those three, Eustace only, the other two make me reach for the Pepto Bismol.

    Eustace, Rowett Jones.

    Ergh!!

Doubly galling if the budget suddenly shoots up.

Nathan Jones gets a decent slug of the Scott money cos he knows how to ‘do a Luton’ (just not a Stoke, Southampton or anywhere else). Couldn’t make it up.

They will have someone else in and as manager by next home game, probably have someone else in position now, so there will be no fans protest,

Not sure why having someone in role would stop fans protesting? Don’t think protests would be about an excess of vacancies at the club.

SL is not courting popularity but deep down I still believe he wants things to be better.

I don’t. I think he wants things to be his way and that’s all that matters. Narcissist who wants to be loved and think he deserves it by spending some of Hargreaves his vast wealth on us.

The lads getting all offended about people not caring about Pearson going get a ******* grip.

What are you thinking? Promote from within and see if Lyle Taylor can make the step up?

    Just one football reason? Anyone?

Okay, I’m fine with everything about the football, given the cards NP was dealt. Would I like City do be doing better, yes, and in my view we would be if the owner had supported him.

I'm going to buck the trend and say good. I've nothing against him but we were not going anywhere under him either .

Those of you who want nothing more than perennial survival, i understand why you are upset.  But frankly I would rather we took a gamble on someone new.  If we go down, that's too bad.. but it's just a game. We'll come back. And if we get it right, we might just be able to push for something special

Not sure those who want NP to stay are after perennial survival, maybe competence and lots of progress, given the circumstances he was working under. If you’re of the view that AN Other manager would have handed Cardiff a hammering with the injuries/subs bench, I’d be very keen to get access to your supplier.

Eustace is probably the only option out there that could work with our squad.

Really annoying aspect is can see the replacement getting a war chest that was never afforded to NP. Eustace/someone else may well spend that war chest wisely and up the table we go, but will rankle forever that NP wasn’t given that chance given all he’s done to right the ship.

True true but fans of other clubs I expect wouldn't be as shocked as us. That's a debate for another day anyway.

But they’re more likely to stare at results than delve into the context of those results. Based on league position we’re not much further forward than when he started, but anyone with a clue as to the circumstances (generally City fans), will understand that’s probably the equivalent of at least one promotion.

    They certainly do.

You joined “yesterday” & since have posted a very large number of negative comments about Pearson.

New fan? Someone who just decided to join OTIB but has supported us for years?

    Interesting development this, isn’t it?

Indeed, a reasonably odd position to take if genuine. Anyone vaguely objective can see NP is being dealt an awful hand, but someone joins  to get stuck into him on the thread about a potential new manager. Mind you, if it is the SL/JL PR machine, it’s being run with the same subtlety as the rest of their comms - weird attempts to gaslight the fans into thinking NP should have us wrestling for 1st place with Leicester, whilst ‘doing a Luton’.

It was like that before the injuries I feel also though. Just now with the missing first teamers it is more important to be at the absolute max tactically and to be more proactive rather than reactive, which sometimes I feel/felt we are not.

Not saying NP has outwitted every other manager this season, but as an example, switching things vs Cov seemed to work (but accept there’ll be other examples where NP has lost out, just not convinced he’s consistently losing the tactical battles).
