  1. Yeah, how could we forget the toe! Wlad's jab was pretty much an all conquering weapon then though wasn't it- and he'd had 58 fights to hone it compared to AJ's current 17. Just hope the fights get made so we can all find out!
  2. Yeah, I don't think he'd knock him out mate- his biggest ever KO at HW was Delboy, who isn't exactly huge- but I think AJ would spend the night punching air and getting hit on the counter. I Just think Haye is far too cute for him at this stage of his career. 3/4 fights time, then it's a different story.
  3. Haye is an absolute nightmare for AJ imo. Klitschko is old, comes forward in straight lines and is used to leaning on smaller fighters to win.He no longer has a plan b, Tyson completely flummoxed him while doing very little offensively. Fury couldn't keep AJ off him for long enough despite his decent lateral movement and Joshua would have no respect for his meagre power at all and walk straight through him sooner or later. Haye, though, throws fast, powerful punches from unexpected angles and moves fantastically for a HW- no surprise given he was the undisputed Cruiserweight champion. Haye's head movement- of which AJ has next to zero as yet- is excellent, and I would expect him to beat Joshua atm. Similarly, Wilder's movement and athleticism presents more of a problem to AJ than Wlad or Tyson now, should he ever tire of knocking over tomato cans in Alabama. Now Ortiz is on the Matchroom roster he is well in the mix too. Presuming he gets through his European coming out party in Monte Carlo against Malik Scott on 12/11, I'd expect him to fight for a version of the title next year. @Super, Bellew is indeed a fairly unlikable bloke, but I quite like his **** you attitude. You'd have to have a heart of stone to deny him the glory of his win over Makabu!
  4. Haye claiming Joshua Klitschko is on...
  5. Wtf, awful shot to take that, legs all over the place 18 second KO!
  6. Good stoppage by the ref. Cardle will be pleased with that after the Dodd fight.
  7. Definitely, but I'm hoping Lewison is going to come out swinging. I see Relikh had to have 3 goes at the weight yesterday, doesn't bode well.
  8. I haven't seen Relikh before tbh but he is supposed to be a dangerous puncher and has a high KO ratio- 19 in 21 wins. Hatton is training him and is really talking up his chances (as he would!) but he hasn't been in with anyone like Burns before and the Hydro is an intimidating place to fight him. Burns also has the carrot of potential fight with the entirely detestable Adrien Broner in Vegas if he gets through Relikh. The bookies typically have Burns at around 1/4 on. There could well be some real fireworks in the main support, Whyte v Lewison. Both are Brixton boys and absolutely hate each other- they had to be separated at the presser the other day. Yesterday at the weigh in Whyte was grabbing Lewison's man boobs haha- whatever you think of Dillian, he is always entertaining. I think it's a good job this one is taking place in Glasgow rather than London or it'd be going off in the crowd far more than the ring!
  9. I think that picture was from Summer 2014 when they sparred quite a bit together. Fury sounds adrift in this Rolling Stone interview from earlier: http://www.rollingstone.com/sports/tyson-fury-boxing-champ-opens-up-about-drug-use-w443250 ' Listen, I've done a lot of things in my life. I've done lots of cocaine. Lots of it. Why shouldn't I take cocaine? It's my life isn't it? I can do what I want. Yeah, I have done cocaine. Plenty of people have done cocaine as well. What the **** has that got to do with anything? That ain't a performance enhancing drug. Am I not allowed to have a life now as well? Do they want to take my personal life off me too? I've not been in a gym for months. I've not been training. I've been going through depression. I just don't want to live anymore, if you know what I’m saying. I've had total enough of it. They've forced me to the breaking edge. Never mind cocaine. I just didn't care. I don't want to live anymore. So cocaine is a little minor thing compared to not wanting to live anymore'
  10. Some incredible skills from a proper champion here Woah!
  11. Yeah, just saw. He has retired as he reigned, like a gobby idiot. Been right on the gak this morning imo!
  12. Me too. Yeah, dislocated. At York Hall on Thursday, Issac Chamberlain put his own shoulder back in at the end of the 3rd and went on to win a war on points! Clev doesn't have the proper world title anyway, that resides with S Kovalev esq.
  13. Braehmer quits on his stool! Must be injured 57-57 for me at the time. Shame, was boiling up nicely. Congrats to Clev.
  14. This is a great fight, very entertaining.
  15. High ratio of punches from Clev so far although a lot arehitting the gloves. It'll be hard to maintain this pace for him
  16. Absolute disgrace from Dimitrenko v Parker, looking for a way out from the off. Good shady rib punching on the blindside of the ref from Joseph though.
  17. Sad news indeed. I read he was suffering from headaches in the week leading up to the fight too which may have been a factor. It's as safe as it possibly can be. RIP Mike Towell.
  18. What a ****. I do get the impression that a fair few boxers use coke between fights. From their point of view it doesn't stay in the system for very long at all in urine tests, much less than a lot of the PEDs. Fury was obviously being a complete idiot to get busted in camp. You've only got to look at a few interviews with quite a few of the shall we say semi retired ones to see what I mean, without naming names. Some of the time on Sky with the recently retired it's like a gurn off ffs. Certain promoters look fairly familiar with it at times too...
  19. Definitely, right up there with Hatton-Tszyu and Benn- McClellan.
  20. I see Lomachenko is finally fighting Nicholas Walters on 26/11. Should be a great fight- the same night as AJ's next outing too, unless there are any sudden moves to accommodate a fight with Klitschko.
  21. Think that's a nationwide phenomenon now Sarj! Hope you have a great night. Do, it's an excellent watch, as much about fathers and sons as Joe's career. Enjoy!
  22. Hee hee, so was Joe! He admits in the documentary that he was intimidated by Lacy and wanted to pull out of the fight as he was carrying a previous hand injury (he could potentially have been a bone fide super middle GOAT if his hands hadn't been so delicate), but Enzo wasn't having a bar of it and ordered him to carry on and fight! Good job he did, the fear brought out his greatest ever performance. The only points he dropped on the cards were for rabbit punches and Lacy was in bits.
  23. What a battering Calzaghe gave him that night, it was an imperious performance from one of our best ever boxers. People were comparing Lacy to a mini Tyson before the fight (as they had poor Gerald McClellan before him) but he was never anything like the same fighter after that. The Calzaghe documentary from last year is brilliant by the way, well worth a watch for any boxing fan I've just seen that Sky are also showing Joseph Parker's fight against the handy Alexander Dimitrenko during the Braehmer v Cleverly coverage. Will be very interesting to see how he goes with the AJ fight looming on the horizon. http://www.skysports.com/boxing/news/12183/10595712/sky-sports-to-show-anthony-joshua-challenger-joseph-parker-fight-alexander-dimitrenko
  24. Really?! I totally missed that, stupid thirst for half time booze! @Super, I give Clev a fair chance tbh. Braehmer has a few miles on the clock now but he is one wily, awkward bugger with a decent amount of power left. I guess it depends which version of Clev turns up, if it's the one who fought Fonfara to a standstill in that great FOTY contender last October he has a real chance, if it's the one that stank the place out in the second Bellew fight, he's toast. The Fonfara fight highlights:
