How on earth did they beat Sunderland 5-1? This league is so random.

My theory is that there is very little between most teams in the Championship, and so games very easily go one way or the other without much rhyme or reason - and that the outcome has more to do with how effective each team’s tactical approach is against that particular opposition, than who on paper is the “better” team. I think our tendency to do better against “better” teams is a demonstration of that.

In a division like the Premier League where the difference in quality is more obvious and polar, it tends to be more predictable and the tactical approach is less likely to affect the ultimate outcome of the game.

    If that makes sense!

Ipswich as good as up after Leicester and Leeds last night. Another one floats on by us.

“As good as up” in third place with an inferior goal difference?!

And in a changing and evolving world you would hope that world would become more inclusive.

    Cashless and paperless services discriminate.

Bristol City via the Robins foundation offer access to disabled people to play football. Are payments solely cashless and paperless? No. Cashless and paperless services discriminate.

As I said, I don’t necessarily agree with the decision to get rid of paper tickets. I do think the option should still be there.

But who does a cashless service discriminate against? Who has access to cash but doesn’t have a card?

Oh well that will count me out then should i ever need a ticket, no idea what PDF is or means and the only wallet i have carries £10 notes, if i can't get a physical season ticket again for next season i won't be renewing

I don’t necessarily agree with the club taking away printed tickets.

But the world is constantly changing and evolving. The internet didn’t exist 30 years ago: there was a time you didn’t know how to use it, but here you are using it to converse with strangers across the globe.

Rather than throwing your toys out of the pram and punishing yourself but not buying a season ticket, why not open your mind to learning a new skill that will help you keep up with life in the 21st century - as you evidently have done previously?

Is it just me but are Man City playing manningball?  So frustrating, all the passing and no end product

Just the three goals away at the Bernabau then.

I watch a lot of Man City games because my son supports them aswell as him supporting us. His maternal grand father is from Manchester and is a Man City fan.

So I sit and watch the Man City games with him. Problem with that? I watch pretty much every premier league game that's on TV because I'm a football fan. This might be a shock to you, but football fans like watching football. Especially the best teams. I'll watch about 6 games this weekend plus our own.

Guess I support all those clubs too and that they are my first teams despite me not having season tickets to them clubs and never attending their games.

How on earth anyone has time to watch six games plus City in one weekend is absolutely beyond me.

Getting ahead of yourself there mate. I'm assuming you didn't watch the world cup? Boxing etc because of sports washing? Yet here you are calling Man City out on it.

Have Man City done any financial doping? Yet again you're calling them out on it but not other teams...

Unanswered? Not sure how youve come to that bs unconclusion when they are clearly gping through the process.

Just find it funny. No one mentions how other games are boring but then they like to make a point out of how every Man City game is so say boring. It will be hilarious to watch Man City win it again whilst these posters '2nd' teams once again fail.

Probably best at this point for you to disclose what team you support.

Good grief. So I can’t accuse Manchester City of immorality or wrongdoing without mentioning every other instance of immorality or wrongdoing at the same time. Just utter nonsense.

If I call Harold Shipman a mass murderer but don’t mention Fred West in the same sentence, it doesn’t mean I think Fred West was a nice chap.

I hope Man City win their 4th title in a row because of comments like this.

Absolutely right! Let’s celebrate financial doping, sportswashing and 115 unanswered FFP charges because someone on a football forum dared to suggest they’re a bit boring.

  9. How about for once we don’t go retro? What’s the point in harking back to previous periods in our history all the time…when our history is so limited in terms of success?

I’d like to see a classy, minimalist design, in a deep, vibrant red, with a great fit and good quality materials, made by a proper manufacturer and sold for a reasonable price that recognises that fans are not made of money during a cost of living crisis. No dicking about with the crest.

    Too much to ask? Probably.

    I say you’re right.

Either some sort of version of the top flight one or the shirt that we wore when we beat Leeds in the FA cup would be ideal.

That having been said, I quite like our current one, far better than that Arsenal/ Rotherham abomination that preceded it.

You might not have liked the design of the previous home shirt. But the quality, fit, finish and colours of the Hummel shirts were a world apart from the utter crap Oneil are producing for us - and we’re still being charged the same price.

The sooner we bin off this market stall standard crap the better. We look so amateur.

Do other forums have such constant moaning about everything?

Are other clubs so consistently embarrassing off the pitch while achieving precisely nothing of note on it, all at the same time?

    This season alone we’ve had..

    Ditching Hummel when others didn’t.

    Poor quality O’Neil kits.

Crap and vastly overpriced merchandise in general.

Blue training wear that has absolutely no connection to any of our kits.

Woeful stock levels at peak sales periods like Christmas.

The splat Robin that no one wanted.

A commemorative shirt for one FA Cup win in 1876 or something.

A squad photo released in March.

And that’s before we even talk about the decision to replace Pearson with Manning.

I know it’s easy to get carried away with things that don’t really matter, but for me this says so much about our club and it’s culture.

The lack of care. The lack of attention to detail. The lack of concern for the quality of the product. The disconnect and disregard for supporters demonstrated by charging £35 for a cheap looking white t shirt. The lack of self awareness to not realise how embarrassing this all is.

I really don’t like this club at the moment.

Think everyone needs to give their heads a wobble. Just don’t buy it, it’s as simple as that. Ahhhh, but we hate the club at the moment don’t we, so let’s just have a meltdown over everything. It’s a tshirt lads. A T-shirt.

I’d understand if it was our kit, but it isn’t. Make yourselves a cup of tea. Maybe have a custard cream, and take 10 minutes out.

In through the nose, out through the mouth. Is there really any need for this outrage? 😂😂😂😂

Read my post above @Tim Monaghan. It is just a t-shirt - but it’s also symptomatic of a bigger problem with our club, the decision making by those running the club, and the disconnect between those decision makers and the fanbase. And it’s far from the first time.

  13. How many of those £35 t shirts are they expecting to sell do you think? Because I genuinely can’t imagine anyone wanting one at that price.

Clearly it’s aimed at a younger market. But that’s not a generation flush with cash - and why would anyone buy one at that price point when they could buy a much higher quality product from a recognised designer or sports brand? After 30 seconds on google I found Hugo Boss t shirts selling for less than this crap.

    Just embarrassing.

...unless you pretend you're in Wales. But it's in bloody Welsh!

I’m married to a Welsh speaker! So I have a personal translator.

It’s on S4C which is available via iplayer.

  15. I'll be watching Wales v Poland tonight as that's a much more interesting game with an awful lot riding on it. Wales games at home are invariably entertaining, and almost guaranteed to better than another sterile friendly at Wembley.

Game is on S4C - accessible via BBC iplayer.
