To be fair, JL has brought a lot of this criticism on himself through his actions to date. It feels like it's got to the point where anything he does now will be ridiculed (on here anyway). Bridges burnt and all that. It doesn't feel like there is a way back for him that means he'd be treated seriously or with respect.
If i was in his shoes, i'd want to be far away from City and make my own way in life.

Too soon for McKenna for the big boys - a bit too much of a risk i think. They'll sack their next batch of new managers by the end of next season though giving time for McKenna to ripen and learn in the PL and then one of them will bring him in if he does well.

You think they are in danger of back to back relegations?
Yeah, losing the manager and a number of there experienced players aren't signing new deals. A lot of rebuilding to do. Really hope they're ok though and don't do a FGR.

Bit of news from people latterly of this parish and surrounding:
- Darrell Clarke is going to Barnsley as their new manager
- Gary Johnson is joining Cheltenham as DOF
- New head coach to be appointed. Who’s out of work, local and has links to the DOF….?
My second team. Massive amount of work for them to do next season to stay up.

The Lansdown’s are control freaks. Humility and humbleness are not words in their vocabulary. Could’ve been a vastly different story here if they were.
I really hoped this wasn't the case (naivety on my part) as it's a horrible feeling when you lose confidence in leadership - especially in the club you love.

The part which annoyed me most is the bit where he says “well; we beat the top teams so we should be able to beat the bottom teams, right” (sic).
The lack of nuance or understanding here is off the charts.
There’s a reason our current squad are able to perform better against a top half team than a bottom end team. It’s been very well documented, detailed and analysed on here by us simple fans.
It’s all about how different teams set up. Every game is a counter balance of what WE can do versus what THEY will do to counter us, and vice-versa.
Seems Jon thinks it’s a simple case of “well, we can beat Southampton so surely we ought to be able to beat Millwall, right”
And the way he ends every sentence with “right”, as if to attempt to reconfirm some sort of understanding and certainty about what he’s just said. Right.
I was gonna stop there but another really annoying thing :
We need younger players because they can run more!! Ha ha. That’s a bit of an insult to Weimann as just one example of a 30+ who will run all bloody day for you.
It also completely ignores the fact (and this is a FACT), that 5 of the top 10 ‘runners’ in the Premier league are over 29 years old.
But only youngsters can run, apparently. Right.Clueless isn't he. And its ok be (to some extent) as long as you're wise and humble enough to recognise it as a weakness and surround yourself with people who know what they're doing and know more about the industry than you do (to help you make the correct informed decisions).

Strangely i'm not that bothered if he did go to Norwich. The club has turned in to Crustys Clown Camp anyway so it'll just make the summer a bit more entertaining to watch the senior leadership get out of this next mess

How boring and pointless is the Scottish Premiership? Rangers or Celtic? It's been the same since i was a young lad......I cannot understand the passion generated by such a tedious two horse race that occurs every year. It has to be the dullest and most predictable league in Europe?
At least it's a 2 horse race... i give you F1!

Hopefully there will be lots more points deductions next season for some of the existing PL clubs. It'll be the only thing that keeps that league interesting. Adds a little spice and gives newly promoted sides a slender bit hope of staying up.
Bit like Super Mario kart with the Mystery Blocks

Fantastic result for Lando, well deserved - and even better for the sport.
Hopefully this is the begining of the end for RB dominance and its starts to become more competative again (i know its only 1 race but it has to start somewhere).

Doesn't look a guy that wants to leave to me. Retiring I can understand but leaving the club altogether I don't think 100% what he wants. Does make you wonder if the plan was to take a coaching role here from the summer if Pearson was still here. Always a plan to retire then coach for us.
Maybe. With the Plymouth job up for grabs, maybe Pearson might take that on (if well enough), and bring Andy in as coach there
So much experience and know how leaving our club. Big loss.

Those little pops-ups appear after purchasing tickets on Bristol sport, a pretty shady practice really. This isn’t the first thread on here regarding this.
Really is isn't it. Any scheme that prints the fees in small print or hidden away at the bottom, is only designed to try to hide it from people in the hope they don't see it and pay.

I bought the Season ticket on the very last day possible, other than that it it could of been when i purchased a ticket for Plymouth away which was early March
I wonder if something happened to trigger 'signing up' when buying the ticket in March? I only say that becuase if you bought the ST on the last day possible (near end of April?) and that's when it triggered the sign up, then that doesn't feel like a lot of time for their advertised 'free trial' period before the fee appeared on your card.
Regardless though, you'd think it would have been really obvious to you when you were buying either ticket so you could stop it. Good news you're getting the refund.
That whole scheme feels like bit poor value for money though doesn't it.

I certainly didn't sign up nor did i get any "introductory email" i just bought my season ticket in the same way as i purchased all my away tickets this season, it's a good job i keep an eye on my bank account !!!
Out of interest what was the length of time between renewing/paying for your ST and seeing this charge on your card? (Just interested to see if that would align to their 'free trial period before being charged' claim).
Looking on the link to the article i shared above, the FAQ link doesn't work either so isn't very helpful.

I think whenever you buy tickets on the website then a pop up appears asking if you’d like to save x amount. I’d guess you’ve clicked that by mistake and the club autofill your details? I’d say the popup itself doesn’t give sufficient details to allow a commitment to be made so if that’s all you have clicked then setting up a DD and subscription doesn’t seem in line with standard practice….
I thought that as well as that's the only related prompt i can remember seeing when i renewed mine (i didn't click it as there's always a hidden catch).
Interesting though given the site suggests its free for a trial period and then charges are applied. I wonder how long it was between Tom renewing and then seeing it appear as a debit on his account.
I wonder if as you say, that's what catches people out. Certainly not clear in the pop up message as you say.
Hopefully he can get it refunded.

I notice i had £15 come out of my account yesterday for an organisation called completesave which i know absolutely nothing about, when i rang them this morning it appears that i "joined up" when i purchased my season ticket !!!! Has anyone else had this ?
Here some more detail about them. I think it mentions the £15 fee after the free trial period ends.

Did you sign up to this at some point?

He’ll know Roberts well too (he was at Derby last season on a season long loan)
Very good point. Forgot about that one.

Roberts for me. But you know what, i was really impressed with the pace of their left back (Bramall) Lightening quick acceleration and pace. Might be one to keep an eye on, especially if was to Pring move on over the summer.
Sorry for going off topic.

I was wondering what yesterday would've been like for him. Achieved promotion and then out celebrating with your team mates when you know you won't be playing alongside them next year. Must've been a bit odd.
I guess it proves the value in the deal Derby struck. Would they have got promoted had he not stayed there until the end of the season?
Who's to say he's the only Derby player to be off over the summer? It might look a different team and not many of his mates might be there come the new season. Plus he has Knight here too. Who knows, might not be as bad for him

It's a good point. We all have this same dilemma though don't we (to some extent) when growing up. Thing is, he's an adult now which i think makes this harder for him to fix (if he even wants to). I'm sure this next point isn't the case, but perhaps he's dug his own grave by having a rich dad and living off his daddys money and not finding his own path.
Everything then potentially becomes a play thing/hobby with no real interest in seeing it become a success....always got dads money to fall back on!
And worse still - everyone around you knows what you're doing and doesn't respect anything you do or you at all. Never want to be in that situation.
