They still intend flying tonight, but as already stated Sunday does tend to be a pack up and go day. Briefing is still planned for 6pm as far as I know so will be decided then unless the weather gets us first!

I thought you might do judging by your posts above.  That's very cool and don't worry, i won't hold you to it  It's the comments on their Facebook page from the idiots that moan that i'd rather shoot

The weather can be so unlucky and it must be difficult for the pilots when they can't go up.

Yes me too. Most pilots who aren't local tend to leave before the Sunday pm spot. They got an awards/prize giving mid afternoon so doubt many will stay after that. Not many who got their balloons wet have put them up to dry yet so may see some tethering or flying later perhaps.

Yeah, i just saw the update as well. A good effort but safety has to come first. 

Fingers crossed for 6pm and they've had time to dry the canopies out - weather looks better then. 

On the plus side Ashton Gate looks amazing from Brandon Hill at 6.30am 

Saw 4 go up but It looked too windy. I think the weather will have ruined this mornings attempt. 

Shows what can happen when companies don't deliver change properly.

Pleased it's happend before 10.30pm deadline day. Now we have time to bring in replacement/s.

Possibly/probably. Does it matter? 

He will not come out and announce details of this nature to fans before the club are ready to but has to manage questions from the media before official responses can be given.

Understansably disapointed but surely his footballing experience knows this happens a lot and to prepare for things like this.  I'm sure that he and the team have various scenarios for planning a replacement.

Whilst it's sad to see him leave, I think we're realistic to accept his was inevitable given the media noise and how well he's done. Fair play to him and Bournemouth - they'll have a fantastic player.

Had he not gone this window, then the clock starts ticking and we risk the value we could've got starting to reduce - other clubs know this as well (yes he could improve with us this season and value increase -maybe - but he could also get a season ending injury - there are so many variables to consider).   There's no guarantee he'd have signed a new contract either plus if we block this move, we risk an unhappy player (and potentially Agent, which is far worse!!!!). Clubs will know that as well and potentially low ball us in future.

We aren't a tin pot club for letting him leave (for the right money or the best we could get). We have to think of the future (financially).

The reality is whilst we're in a lower Division, we do risk teams above us cherry picking our best players. We do the same to teams below us. And whilst there is crazy money in the PL it makes it easier for teams abouve us to attract players to move.

Why? If he plays well in the PL in a struggling team (assuming they struggle), another PL team could come in for him and he uses Bournemouth as a stepping stone in his career - whilst learning his trade and getting better money.

If before the game, i wonder if it wasn't as bad as first thought and that's why he didn't start (to miminise impact) but was brought on later which has unfortunately made it worse? 

No issue getting in to the Dolman and very simple. Lots of stewards/staff on hand to help if anyones not sure how to do it.

I suspect our wage structure includes his potential new contract taken in to consideration. I don't think we'd offer him a contract we couldn't afford to.

Perhaps he's also suggesting tight finances regardless of any potential AS money to stop other clubs thinking we're quids in and they can charge us inflated prices 

A good idea and a way to test the new ticket scan system.
