My concern is that if the worse were to happen then they may think, perhaps not wrongly, that Manning could mount a promotion challenge .

It would be less toxic than the one LM inherited.

It all boils down to Lansdown I’m afraid. He would like promotion to the Prem but either can’t or won’t bring in the quality of coaching staff and players that could enable us to get there. He has wasted millions on people who are not quite good enough and when he fell on those that were he bottled it and got rid. He is slowly suffocating the life out of the club and needs to change his policy or hand the reins over to someone who knows how to make a success out of a, don’t laugh, comatose giant. The crowds will eventually drop as apathy sets in.

He’ll probably learn all the necessary lessons here before going on to win the Champion’s League and World Cup .

I agree ,apart from Klopp and Gardiola, which coach has a hundred percent of his players in the squad these days ? Which coach has the luxury of all the time he wants with his players ? I don’t think Manning is the right fit for the club we continue to ,as the French say , ‘ fart above our arseholes’ .

He may be genuine and probably is but he has got a big gob and I was only really joking although I don’t like his guttural singing style or the fact that someone in my family has built an ‘ altar’ in his honour.
