So they`re definitely still paying the last two as no-one else has been stupid enough to employ them yet.
Definitely but not dopey as that would of stopped as soon as he became Walsall manager!

Cockman no because he left on his own accord.
But rovers are still potentially paying off Dopey Darrell (his contract runs out in June 2022). They are paying off Alf (June 2022) and Tisdale (June 2023).
It'll be interesting to see what happens if Barton gets locked up in the summer. Did Wally include a clause in the contract? Or will they also be paying that off.
That’s not how contracts work in football when a manager gets sacked there is usually a clause to say that they get paid for 1 full year from date of sacking or until they get a new a job! We won’t be still paying Lee Johnson now he’s at Sunderland!

Well i know its been 20 years, but growing up, the games against rovers with the likes of penrice, holloway, devon white etc etc were like going to war, it would be great for the next generation of city fans to have their donowa moment, but its just not going To happen. They are an embarrassment.
Nah **** that and **** them!

It’s all change North of the river now.
The fake sheikh has bought out his family & started work on that travellers site in South Gloucestershire.
According to their friends at the Post the new bloke in charge (I can’t remember his name, but the one who has won about 2 games in the last 20) is putting together an “exciting” squad & they are in a “stronger position than many because of Covid” apparently.
No, I couldn’t follow the logic, either.
It read like the sort of thing you get in North Korea.
Yes they all seem to think being debt free will last, but have seemed to have forgot that they are losing £3-4m a year so they won’t be debt free for long!!!

We are delighted to confirm Omar Mouneimne as the club’s new defence coach with immediate effect.
Another world class addition to the coaching team
Let's hope City don't now take the cheap option..!
Are you suggesting that City should’ve gone for him instead?

Was that they lad they got from the army?
Can’t remember I just seen someone put on here that the 2 lads that had playing at centre back were on about £150 week each!
I could be wrong though!!! -

I earn more then some of the rovers first team,
some are on as little as 700 quid a week
Now I might be wrong but wasn’t their first choice centre back pairing on something ridiculous like £300 a week combined the other year?

They play off final your thinking off happened 10 years after this quote! The playoff final he’s talking about was the first one back at the new new Wembley! The quote is 15 years old!

This was a land grab right from the get go, they expected a nice bonus from Sainbury's, once that evaporated it was IMO about getting out with as much face saving as possible, alas no one wants to buy a decrepit old stadium with a team of cloggers thats haemoraging money like it's going out of fashion.
Now they have a ready made excuse as to why the club is going bust, after all they have probably used up the excuses of the council not providing land, turning down none existent planning applications, it's all Lansdown's fault and so on.
**** the Gas the absolute embarrassment to our City!

Positively poetically put!
Sadly, or hilariously, the delusion has returned in an even more virulent form than before. In evidence, I offer the fact that they believe what Wael tells them and that, despite the chasm between the clubs in every respect, they really think they are coming for us.
Exactly even if by some miracle they won all their games for the rest of the season and they got promoted and next season we were in the same division, we would still be miles ahead of them in every way in imaginable!
**** the Gas!

I am extremely surprised that there isn't some sort of protection order on the land and gates to keep it as a permanent memorial. The current owners should not be able to profit on the fallen by turning their memorial into a housing estate.
Now that would be ironic following our much publicised town village green problems.
There was some sort of legal document to say the whole site was the war memorial and that it can’t be built upon but Someone conveniently lost it!

Page 20 of today's "Metro"; a Leeds fan applied to become Spurs manager in 1999. His only experience is the game Football Manager.
Spurs wrote back with a rejection letter. He now has a collection of 68 rejection letters and wants to complete a set of all 92 EFL & Prem clubs.
Due to his experience, would he get a rejection from the gas?
Always reminds me of this!

Bristol City ladies could be the 2nd best supported club in Bristol. Let’s see if they get more than the rovers had against Cheltenham.
To be fair The Bristol Bears already average far more although I’m not sure what the cricket gets? They’re already 3rd in terms of support in the city and if the women could knock them down the to 4th that would be embarrassing!
