  1. I'm hoping for your sake you didn't take too much time looking that up.
  2. ***** sake, I didn't realise they had made it illegal now. I was really looking forward to taking out one of those long nose ******* as well. Are we still allowed to **** off dogs?
  3. Well I never knew toady was the anniversary of that game. It also happens to be 43 years ago today I saw my first Rovers game - I quite like that
  4. Glamping is very 'on trend' they tell me .
  5. Yes, our players have shown an awful attitude over the past couple of seasons
  6. Rovers took more than 4,000 fans to the Ricoh Arena for the League One match, the vast majority of whom behaved impeccably. However this one incident could undermine what was Rovers' biggest away following for a number of years. Of course it matters. I look forward to the day when both Bristol clubs can travel to away matches and no one causes any trouble.
  7. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I promise you the result registered a big fat zero on my give a **** register. (well maybe a 2.5 on a scale of 1-100)
  8. Err, hardly a disaster! We lost a game, and we deserved to lose it. I have seen Rovers lose countless games over the years, and many more important ones than this. I was disappointed with our performance, because we have become quite an entertaining side to watch recently. , but I had forgotten about the result about half an hour after the game. You have had PLENTY of chances to mock our results in the past few years, yer clutching at straws with this one
  9. Yes really. The bloke who started trying to sing was pissed as a fart and was walking up from the concourse- he realised after about two seconds a silence was going on. Yes there were a few blokes stood on the steps during the game, which although not allowed, no one died.
  10. I thought he just walked in from the concourse and was pretty pissed, which was why his attempt at singing stopped halfway through the first line.
  11. Yes that was disgraceful, as were the Mickey Barratt chants at the previous game. As for the minutes silence being 'disrespected' don't believe everything you read on the internet. Yes, there were some Rovers fans singing during it, however they were outside the ground and wouldn't have known that there was a minutes silence going on. Unfortunate, but hardly disrespectful.
  12. We were saying the same ourselves. All very noisy in the concourse before the game, but halfway through the first half it really just died(It was a truly awful game mind). I think we took something like 8 or 9 hundred to Bolton and the atmosphere was brilliant. I suppose it really just does come down to whether your team does give you something to cheer about.
  13. Sorry, I certainly didn't mean to come across as stroppy or defensive, I just meant that nothing really happened. It was an awful game, that Coventry deserved to win, but apart from that bit , yes we had a good day thanks. We went to that canalside pub the Greyhound, lovely spot for a drink and some food, pleasant stroll to the ground, then it all went horribly wrong!
  14. If you call kicking off about 20 Rovers running into the car park and chanting 'Rovers, Rovers' at Coventry fans who responded with chants of '1-0' then yes it kicked off.
  15. Oh god no- we've already got Jeffrey Archer!
  16. Fair enough. I will confess that Lansdown not really being a rugby fan was an assumption on my part, if you know different then I apologise to him. The red on the kit thing still seems like him trying to do it just because he can type of thing, which I just find petty and annoying. It does look like Bristol have ****** it now anyway, however surely they can't fail to come straight back up now that the play offs are being scrapped. The -incredibly rich- RFU need the premiership to be a successful franchise they can sell tv rights for, so it wouldn't surprise me to see a closed shop soon with no relegation or promotion, and they will do all they can to make Bristol a part of that.
  17. I think we had our claim to fame when Joe Marler mentioned the Dings in an interview about dodgy places he played at when he was with Worthing!
  18. Go on then, I'll bite. I love rugby, as a sport I prefer it to football, I just tend to be more passionate about my attachment to football teams. When it comes to watching a sport as a neutral, I would choose rugby every time. I don't think Rovers stole the ground form the club, I do think however, that the rugby was woefully mis -managed for a long, long time. Sadly top flight rugby is going the same way as top flight football, which was inevitable was TV got interested in the game. I'm more of a local rugby supporter (I was at Dings yesterday) than a Bristol supporter, but I certainly care about Bristol rugby.
  19. I think that's the problem. Lansdown just doesn't 'get' rugby. To him Bristol are just an extension of City, and it really, really annoys me (maybe that's what he wanted) WTF was the point of adding a bit of red to the kit? I'm all for a local big shot (and realistically Lansdown is the only one who fits the bill) coming along to help our local rugby club do well, but at least try and get a bit of understanding about the game, it's traditions and ethics. Rant over.
  20. I found this on page 3!!! Show us some respect please!
  21. We haven't done that for a few years tbf. Mind you, if we ever get the things working properly , we may have to start again
