Encouraging that he's already having a go at the fans
Some points spring to mind
1) "We need you for longer" - Could it possibly be that the self-styled "watch them from the pavements / best fans in the world" were actually just crap last night?
2) Manager's usually go out of their way to praise fans, especially so travelling fans - so for him to make ANY negative comments to fans, which can turn out risky for a manager's future, he must have felt their support was FAR below expectations3) He says the shirt "weighs heavily on the players" - he does realise they are Bristol rovers not Man Utd, Tottenham or Arsenal right? They have exactly zero history so what is weighing on the players minds?

Matt Taylor quite spectacular on RB
Can change players or formations but it won’t change the outcomes, players not interesting in going towards the ball, can’t defend their players for the goals they’re conceding
Sounds like he’s had enough already tbh
“Nothing to play for? What about personal pride?”
I'd imagine signing to play for the gas means you have little to none of that left.

Only 12 points off the play offs and we're only in February.
16 games left, 40 points accrued - 12 points adrift -> Normally you'd need around 70-75 points over a league one season to make the playoffs
So they "just" need to average around 2+ points per game for the rest of the season.
To put this in context this is kind of the mark being set by automatic promotion candidates such as Southampton and Leeds in our division or Pompey and Derby in theirs.

I had some Gas idiot trying to convince me last season that they knew “for a fact” that despite official attendances of 20k+ we rarely had over 11/12k in the ground.
Couldn’t back it up of course, absolute bullshitters.
Counting to 11 or 12 is incredibly easy for them in fairness

I would have thought 'Promotion chasing Bristol Rovers' would have been very active in the market today, to get those signings that would push them over the line and make up that small points gap from their current position and the play-off zone
May I suggest Ronnie O'Sullivan? - the points gap means they are needing snookers atm to rescue this "iconic" season.

Need to win away to a Premier League team first....
That's a very big if. Even with us playing well in the cup.
Let's not get ahead ourselves - best to leave that to the iconic promotion chasing team.

And grey cloudy skies
A bit off topic but... Having been to Kuwait 4 or 5 times - I ceartinly don't recall the skies looking anything like that, or there being much "greenery" or trees as shown in the picture.
My recollection of Kuwait was unbearable outside temperatures (45+ deg in the middle of the day) and very, very, few clouds. A special mention should also go to the absolute cluster-f*@k of a shambles that is their main airport - for such a rich country it is an utter embrassment. It frequently appears near the top of lists of the worst airports in the world. Lets hope that it serves as an inspiration for development of a certain venue in North Bristol!

They’re talking about giving Oxford more blocks on Saturday just so they can fill the stand….the stand THEY said they needed to accommodate THEIR ‘huge’ fanbase
The gift.
They're just a sh#t MK Dons!

Ah "the president said" the pillars would be removed!! I bet no evidence or link can be found for Wael saying this.
So it is basically from the same source as their magically increasing attendance figures - gas logic

I’ve just read from a gas head I know that the pillars aren’t staying in their new sta…….cowshed.
not sure how he’s worked that out
- what !?!
In all the pictures I have seen there is defintely no cantilever structure. Not even the gas could be so stupid as to do that.
This was it being built...
The plans
Its pretty clear the pillars support a beam

Surely a team who less than one month ago were pushing for promotion shouldn't be needing penalties to win a home game? or maybe its just the case that this "journalist" is following the typical gashead approach of celebrating too early.
Pretty soon his tweet from 23 Dec will take its place alongside the unwashed chanting "we got our stadium" at Ashton gate, and celebrating staying up at Wycombe the week before getting relegated

A few realistic ones on there now suggesting their playoff ambitions are over - I give it a few hours before they are labelled as "gurt teds" and banned, whcih will be awkward as one of them was a forum moderator!!

The "something special happening", "iconic" season rolls on for "promotion chasing" Bristol Rovers.
They are just 15 points and 16 goals behind Oxford in 6th place now.

So now they have a new stand with ‘new seats’ and no one is tempted to sit in it…
Looks like well under 7500 home fans bought tickets so far. Almost all of the south stand tickets still on sale and seats and standing almost everywhere.
Disappointing after all the noise over not being able to get tickets for Norwich.
Would have thought lots more would have been tempted by the new seats, especially as it is warming up.Well.... They would be selling out easily if it was not for the Life Cycle Hub hosting a beginners bicycle maintenance course a short walk/ride away the same day.
However unlike the match at the memorial the Lifecycle Hub event tomorrow appears to be sold out.

WTF? They've been knocked out? How can this be? It was only Norwich......
The 20 seat minibus will have to be cancelled.
I read that Norwich made 7 changes from the team they put out against Hull (which you presume would have been their strongest, or close to strongest)

Were we not informed by the fewers, this time last year, when the redevelopment idea was first raised, that their rebuilt south stand would be "better than trashton" and "state of the art." Surely the ST price increases just reflect the "increase" in facilities.
Unfortunately for them the stand that has been built is less "state of the art" and more "state of that!".
