When the tactics involve losing week after week, when do the players stop believing in the tactics.
Or have they already!
Unfortunately, it looks like sacking Pearson was a major blunder and appointing this bloke has been a disaster. I hate to say "we told you so". I can't ever, in nearly 60 years of supporting City remember the fans being so furious about letting a manager go - and you can see that we are getting angrier with every week that passes.

3 points taken from the last 18 and it's getting worse rather than better. Great time to put season tickets on sale isn't it.

Hogg said to Manning "Why don't you bring Mabude on"? Manning replied "We've already got 10 dire players on the pitch, why would I want to put on another"?

What did he do in the 20 matches before that?
I think Semenyo always had the raw potential - the power, the hunger, the desire.
I respect that other opinions on Anis are available. But I'm pretty confident in saying the following: Anis Mehmeti will never play a significant role in a team that finishes in the top 6 of the Championship.
I don't think he's good enough.
I doubt he even play a significant role in a team that finishes in the bottom six either.

The only thing our players are frightened of is a tackle or any other physical challenge come to that. I've seen them going in harder than we do in the women's game.

Anyone know if Qatar is paying megabucks for this, and whether those bucks are being transparently spent in the global game?
I would imagine bribery is involved somewhere with a smattering of corruption.

Jay is about as Welsh as my big toe. I bet he can't even sing their National Anthem or speak any Welsh. It's getting beyond ridiculous.
I certainly don't expect him to be donning wellies and chasing sheep around a field, which I thought was a prerequisite. He might be coming round the mountains though for all I know.

For those who are not renewing but still have a bit of love for City and want to watch games, can I suggest a subscription to a VPN and RobinsTV. A lot cheaper than a season ticket and great value if more than one of you are watching. You get to watch the away games too. The only downside is that you have to listen to Downsy

Boring football, Poor win ratio, sliding down the table and higher prices. You can see where this is going.

And the saga goes on… albeit in a nice stadium and improved training ground (none of this HPC nonsense).
I'm still waiting to see some of the high performance that place was supposed to produce. Maybe they should have called it The Pulled Hamstring Centre.

I don't think it matters much any more NTTDS because the other lot have become a non-entity.

The more often that you reduce the quality of the product and increase the price you charge for it, the sooner the tipping point will come. This is particularly true during a cost of living crisis.

He's not going to progress playing at that level.

I would imagine that the prawn cocktail seats will be empty

There will be a lot of boo-ing if we lose 5 on the trot and it will be highly likely that we will be questioning whether Bernard Manning is actually up to the job. After all, it's his tactics that seem to be causing the problem (or lack of any tactics).
The bottom 3 are looking very close now.
Next years season cards not on sale yet either - I wonder why that is !!!

Had a decent 2nd half last night and I suspect he was instructed to push forward and take on defenders as opposed to try not to lose the ball and pass backwards and sideways.
How much is down to the player and how much is down to the manager and the instructions he is normally given?
If you want that type of player to succeed, then you have to give him freedom and allow him to take on defenders otherwise you may as well not play him at all.

Why do I have a deluded hunch that we are going to win tonight
When I think we are going to be mullered by anyone, we always seem to win. That's the only element of positivity I have tonight.
If we do get mullered, Manning's position becomes almost untenable. A boy trying to do a mans job, I think.
-
He decided that as he said the same thing after the last 3 defeats, he had nothing else to say and he was probably scared about the amount of stick he would get spouting the same bullshit all over again. There comes a time when saying "we can work on the positives" won't cut it any more when there aint any.
-
After we lose our 4th game on the bounce, Liam will still be trying to focus on the positives.
If you are fast dropping towards the relegation zone, then it's about time he started focusing on the negatives, typically motivation, tactics and overall game management.
-
A spanking live on Sky will not do morale any good especially when it must be pretty low anyway after 3 defeats on the bounce and a trajectory heading very quickly towards League one. I really hope we are going to see a reaction from the team tonight but I suspect that the gameplan will be another Manningball effort with 0 shots on target.
Will have to watch in the pub or a dodgy stream tonight but we might look a lot worse in HD, so a stream might be the best bet. If you haven't got the stomach to watch then there is always Radio Brizzle and if you can't even bear to listen, then even the pub is out as they will be showing the game.
I think the only people likely to enjoy tonight will be the tractor boys and gasheads. Possibly the fans of the bottom 3 may be happy to see us heading in their direction too.
I just hope that we do not get an embarrassing spanking.

Or sit in the warm and stick Sky Sports Main Event on ….
Presumably that means it's not on Robins TV then does it?

Having lost the card, I hope he had the sense to cancel it. So it can probably go in the bin

I can imagine that Ipswich will find it fairly easy to play against boring old Manningball. That said, it seems that we can up our performances against the better teams if it suits us.

Listen, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility that they’d appoint LJ as interim until the end of the season, they're that stupid.
When did a managers second stint at any club lead to a good outcome though?
If you want Tinnion and Manning to go then.....

When you keep losing, people start to lose interest. When you keep losing because you are not even trying to win, people just give up.
With the current ownership and management, you can only see things going in one direction which is why the fans and even the players seem to have lost belief. There doesn't even see much hope to fall back on either.
As others have said, SL will not listen until he sees the outcome in his back pocket, which is why 2 more of us won't be renewing for next year. The board can give Manning as much time as they want, but we have decided that we won't be paying to watch it. The bloke is clearly way out of his depth and that translates into performances, motivation and belief.
There are much cheaper and more enjoyable ways of wasting your life.
