Yep, very highly rated as a coach but still a rookie as a manager, not sure this would be a wise move for him and I am equally not sure he will take it if offered.

And that is the key point isn’t it? We lose a game with a poor performance and the usual suspects come on here stating NP needs to go and that it’s all down to him that we lost or did not play well. Maybe I have missed it but NOBODY has come up with a credible alternative. I am certainly not picking on you @JoeAman08 as you are far from the only one but should SL fire the manager or, a far more likely scenario, NP walks away, who is on your list of possible replacements? Serious question as I am genuinely interested in who you or anyone else thinks could / should replace NP, if that was to be required.

Many in Scotland believe that without the bigot brothers the SPL would thrive. More teams would have the opportunity to win trophies which in turn would increase attendances. When either of the ugly sisters travel, yes they bring their support but, they also bring trouble meaning higher policing and stewarding costs for the home club. Despite the CL results Scottish football is starting to thrive with a lot of young talent being produced, many of whom are playing abroad. Personally I would love to see them both go but who is going to have them? There is no way that they should simply walk into the EPL but, as SAF said last week, were it to happen, within 5 years they would be challenging for the top 6 with the extra revenue available.

As has been said by many on here previously, you wonder what JET could have achieved in the game if it was his total focus. Accept it was a league lower but what a player on his day.

One game to go before the WC and it’s a dead rubber but against Germany. A game England realy can’t afford to lose. -

Nobody remembers the runners - up. Particularly when England should have won. He is paid a huge amount of money to win football matches and remember you are about to be relegated in the Nations Leauge. -

Would not disagree. But Southgate is a ‘company’ man and his job is safe.. -

Don’t agree. Got to the final, go 1-0 after 8 mins and sit back against an aging Italian team that were never coming back from 2 or 3 down. Poor poor coach who has achieved zero in his club management career. -

Fantastic group of players BUT a very poor coach. -
It is as @cidered abroad says got a lot to do when the Spanish eat in the evening along with their traditional siesta which is not observed that widely nowadays.

Interesting, I didn’t realize that.

I think it’s a question of timing @Mr Popodopolous If we assume the new players do gel it needs to be soonish or it will be too late.

You have my deepest sympathies Jarrett. It is a baxtard of an illness which I am currently fighting. Best wishes to your family.

Foxes Forum -Views on Nigel Pearson
ScottishRed replied to Abraham Romanovich's topic in Football Chat
IIRC there was an unpleasant incident involving young Leicester players on a post season trip to Thailand, this was a club trip and involved Nigel’s son. Nigel lost his job over this / resigned, can’t remember which. -
I think that too,is a fair point. Being in the squad of an EPL team every week with maybe some game time probably trumps being first choice in a middling Championship side. Like all of these things none of us know what is really going on or indeed may not be going on. We will just have to wait and see BUT if the lad is going to go then the sooner the better for us - what we don’t need is this dragging on until the very end of the window.
-
I think that is a fair point @Davefevs but then again he might back himself to actually get some game time at Palace and make an impact - it’s a tricky one for the lad, if , of course, Palace, or anyone else is actually interested. In situations like this money talks and as we all know IF there is interest his wages would increase by an incredible amount. You also have to look at it from the clubs prospective - we could do with the money and if his valuation is met then I would expect a certain encouragement from us for him to go.
-
I think you are right, the lad will have an amazing career. He is a real talent.
-
I understand your point. I am so sorry.

Not that I care one jot, but they are in real trouble. The club is totally geared towards commercial success and the financial income of the owners. I think Gary Neville tweeted that the owners took out £24m last month! The new manager wants to play out from the back and as a start point, you don’t have the keeper to do that. I really doubt they will be challenging for many years.
