In fairness to Martin, he looked knackered from 5 minutes in. Not sure a 32 year old can do Sat, Tues 180 mins.
Agree with others strange decision to start Baker who needed injections, seems an unnecessary risk with 2 other defenders on the bench.
To be fair to O'Dowda we're only 10 games in he doesn't want to have his 1 impactful game a season too early on, long way to go yet.

Russell Osman presided over an away win against Liverpool - should we reappoint him....? As much as I liked LJ (but agreed it was past time for him to go), one swallow does not make a summer.
Depends who you're asking...

Wow it's closer than I thought. Went to the ones in 2017/18 and 2018/19, Tuesday night one was quite enjoyable!
O'Leary penalty save IIRC- and a late winner? Quite decent atmosphere in the away end.
O'Leary save to stop them going 2-0 up then Pato direct free kick to make it 1-1 before Dave smashed in the winner a few minutes later

Surprised Janneh hasn't been involved with the first team a bit more recently after his two goals at Forest Green.

I think the issues he uses his platform for is the reason a lot of people don’t like him unfortunately.
I don’t really find him arrogant at all. He’s a top tier sportsman, he wants to win and expects everything at a certain level of performance and if it isn’t he’ll question why it isn’t. He normally says it quite calmly over the team radio, and even if let down by the team at a pit stop say, he’s pretty calm and tries to use it as motivation.
After every race he thanks the crowd even if he gets booed by fans, or monkey chants in the early days at Monza. He’s always gracious to other competitors, even after the race just gone he said Max must have had a hell of a race, ‘commiserated’ for Lando after what he saw and is always on social media supporting other drivers such as Russell when he crashed.
Im sure there has been a few occasions where he has acted out of line or said something that comes across negative to his character but I think LH gets a harsh wrap from a lot of people for not any real reason.
His dress sense is very odd though so I’ll give them that.
There is certainly no sense involved with that at all!

They have to give a bigger allocation for the FA Cup I believe. What a great day that was btw!
One of my favourite ever away days! Absolute chaos for both goals!

He made the call to stay out.
Feel for him losing it so late, but that's one he needs to learn from.
McLaren should have overruled him. A young driver about to win his first ever race his heart is going to rule his head.
The Mercedes weatherman might be due a pay rise!

I thought this was a satirical post at first.
Can't imagine any of these will ever make noticeable appearances in great swathes on any high street other than in small groups of fashion conscious individuals.
Very small percentage of the public who take notice of the latest 'trends'

No never met them
Just took it that you knew him Insulting him the way you did
Of course @Kid in the Riot has never met me so you are completely correct in that he has no clue what he’s talking about
Like most people on Internet forums he wouldn’t say anything to someone’s face that he happily says behind a keyboard.

So you saying "shame she's Canadian" doesn't mean you think it is relevant that she was born abroad but moved here as a young child?
And you think I'm a special case.....
Just let it go pal, you were wrong.
It's fine, everyone is wrong sometimes, even you.

I'll try an use very simple words for you.
You think it is relevant that somebody was born in a different country even though they moved here as a very young child. I used an example of somebody else that was born abroad and moved here as a very young child.
There you go again, telling others what they think. It's amazing that you know better than everyone else on here isn't it?
At least you agree that your point about Boris Johnson was completely irrelevant, thank you

I can keep repeating myself but I don't think you are going to be able to understand.
So you think Boris Johnson is relevant to a thread about Emma Raducanu?
You really are a special case on this forum.

1 minute ago, BS2 Red said:
If we are classing Raducanu as Canadian, then we have to class the Prime Minister as American.
Again, relevance?

And the Prime Minister is American.
Relevance?

We could very easily have afforded Afobe but buying a 28 year old player who has had 2 similar season ending serious injuries would not be a wise move.
Great bloke but glad we didn't take the risk on him.
