If the accounts are horrible after selling £35m of talent in the last 14 months then we really are doing something wrong.

Most deals of that size are not all up-front. There are also add ons which are often dependent on other factors.

If BCFC are doing something wrong then they are in good company with at least another 70 clubs who also fail to make a profit and continue to make a thumping loss.

It's ironic that you say we're doing something wrong having taken on two teenagers and sold them a  few years later for £35,000,000. I think that's doing something very right.

At least nobody can say everyone at the club isn’t on the same wave length!

A disjointed and defensive interview to match a disjointed and defensive performance on sunday. 👍🏼

which yielded 3 points much to the disgust of the "everyone out" brigade.

Just on this, I’ll say Yeboah missed the 2 Bath games previous to the youth cup game to allow him to be with the 18’s squad. Bath have obviously taken him on the knowledge of the youth cup factor and Jerry Gill was probably privately hoping we got knocked out as he’ll probably miss more in the run up to Man City game.

FFS- don't let facts get in the way of the narrative- you'll get in big trubble.

Wonder what the club was thinking when they signed, for example, TGH, Mehmeti, Cornick and Mebude and some other players.

It went something like this, a little fairy tale. Or?

-These are probably players who will take us to the Premier League, said Tinnion.

-The fact that TGH and Cornick did not have a place in WBA and Luton starting eleven is probably due to poor football skills that those clubs have, said Lansdown

    - The Belgian club probably didn't understand how fantastic Mebude is either, I see that, said the previously fired manager Tinnion!

    - Then they both said to each other, we have a squad for the Top Six, we don't even need to use Scott and Semenyo's money! Now we just need to find a manager who doesn't object….

I don't want him here but he would be too strong a character. Like Nige and Steve Cotterell he would be too opinionated for the higher ups.

    Steve Cotterill

This is one of our best Managers EVER. Surely by now you can at least spell his name? I realise that you were making a veiled comment about Nigal Peersun but really?

  6. Played 8 matches- won two (both in the cup).

    In his final press conference:

“All along I’ve said I was here to help and that I would give my advice, and my advice is they should get the new manager in as soon as possible. It needs quite an overhaul of the squad in the summer and it’s no good waiting until then to get someone in. You need to give a manager the chance to look at it for a couple of months, so he knows what needs doing over the summer.

Could be regretting his recent career move before kicking a ball for his contracted club. In a bizarre twist it's entirely conceivable that he will be 'back' at his parent club playing in league one with his previously 'inferior' (league standing only) selling club in a higher division. He'll probaby have a relegation clause in his city contract too which means he could be earning less than had he stayed. Obviously hope it doesn't happen!

    Yeh right- obvs.

This from the poster who brought us similar classics such as:

'I'm taking my ball & I'm going home'

Perhaps you may wish to consider that any prospective player coming to BCFC is going to make a decision based on his Agent/money/opportunity/location and discussions with fellow professionals/friends/family etc.

The last place on earth any player would check is otib in the negative nonsense threads started by you and your ilk. If they did then there would be a world wide boycott on discussing a career move to BCFC. Bristol City is not the graveyard of ambition but your threads are.

The numbers don't lie, those who like to spin out the new regime and how it is superior, how we are better off- well that's another matter..

That said it doesn't apply to all but some more than others very much so.

Perhaps you are right although I genuinely struggle to think of posters who think that.

Perhaps you could also put the names where your mouth is and we can check their comments? It won't take me long so just give me the names and I'll do the rest for you.

I'll keep it brief. As we recall we were 4 points off the playoffs, 11th place. 1.4 PPG, 40% win ratio and 10 above the drop the day that Manning took charge.

Since then and some sites you can pull the table out between specific dates...

    The day Manning took over.

For the same reason lansclown felt it necessary to be so unnecessarily rude to us fans on more than one occasion. None more so than when he said he felt sorry for those fans who questioned his decision to appoint holden. Sorry that we couldn't see what they were trying to do!

That after he went public on talksport saying he wanted to appoint a manager to take us to the next level.

And lying about the reason to dispense with NP.

I don't feel bad about questioning his unreasonable behaviour

How very dare Mr Lansdown to state that he wanted to appoint a Manager to take us to the next level.

I think the problem with Jon is that he's lived an entitled life and fair play to him for that. But he doesn't know what it's like to work hard all week to be able to afford to go to the football on the Saturday. He doesn't know the sacrifices many of us have to make in order to attend because he's never had to do that.

For most of us that are living normal lives in the real world he doesn't get how going to the football is an escape from the ups and downs of a normal life.

I'd say for most of us our mental wellbeing is impacted by how we do. Win and we go into the week with a spring in our step, lose and everything is just quite gloomy for the next week.

If we lose Jon just buggers off to his yacht in the Bahamas.

I think his lack of being able to relate really impacts how he goes about the job.

So at what point are you going to give a ****  about what you've said about BT, SL , JL and the young Manager Liam Manning? What possible reason would they have to want to fail?

They don't count in your warped world.

For most of us who have supported BCFC for any real length of time and then not understanding the ups and downs of football- whether BCFC, England or one of a number of "second" clubs we may openly or secretly support then you don't understand football and the relationship is unhealthy.

If losing regularly or not achieving is going to affect your mental health then Football is absolutely to be avoided because the highs are few and lows are legion.

If losing , whether its Leicester or Rotherham , impacts your mental health  to any real extent then you should take a look at whether it's worth it. To include JL in any mental health issues is, in itself, mental.

As the excellent Tom said before he hung up his OTIB administrator boots " If it's all getting a bit much- take a break".

I do wonder if Lansclown was 'that' boy on the playground who brought his ball along & when things didn't go his way promptly took it home & is now continuing in the same vein in adulthood 🤔

I do wonder if you were "that" boy in the playground that became so jealous of the fact that someone else had a football that you forgot about the football and are now continuing in the same vein in adulthood🤡

What have I missed, been at the monthly SC&T meeting this evening

I can assure everyone that I don't work for Bristol Sport and having watched City since January 1987 I despise the blue few equally

You've missed nothing but more of the same: anything remotely positive about anything BCFC seems to signify that you must be BS/gas/troll/deluded.

    Don't bother.

I think admin has been snared by club tentacles.

Or @phantom could be a newly appointed Bristol Sport employee or, just as likely, a secret gas agent?

Heaven forbid he has his own opinion that dares differ from the accepted narrative which contradicts that it's the end of the world since "Saint Nigel of the Mendips" was burned at the stake, martyred and replaced by the alien lizard people.

Look carefully enough and Brian's eyelids blink side to side and Steve Lansdown has been absent just to shed his skin. They've even installed a heat lamp in the dug-out for LM and his office is made of glass.
