  1. How are they shambolic when we weren't - at any point- looking like relegation candidates . It's only been been since NP that we've been truy shambolic. Just look at the stats or go to a match if you haven't recently.
  2. Well- Steve is just going to have to find a way and soon. He's been a fantastic owner but he's just got to find a way to be more fantastic
  3. Exactly- SL needs to do what he can both in terms of the coaching set up and transfer budget within the realms of FFP
  4. Enough of the Ashton Johnson Lansdown blame triangle. I've been supporting City long enough to get the feel- and the feel is that we are fodder. NP has been a top manager in his day but his day has gone- just look at the stats. Is it Nige's fault? Probably not but , imo, a different solution is needed sooner than later. It was much much better with Lee but that's not part of the NP messiah narrative. We will go down unless SL/JL take financial and coaching action now.
  5. or perhaps those who can see how this entire set up is progressing?
  6. I thought he did ok on Saturday- I dont get why he's such a target... not great but who the F is in this team?
  7. Surely just girls as the glasses and contents seem quite girlish?
  8. We need a performance - a proper one. A win would be a helluva bonus.
  9. Yes- I'd take that - any type of win will halt the run so if we win with a poor performance then that's fine by me. it's the draw or lose bit where performance is all.
  10. I can forgive the lack of a victory today but another poor performance is inexcusable. However, I genuinely believe that I'll be walking out of the ground today feeling very pleased for the first time in what seems like forever. COYR
  11. But the money's no good Just get a grip on yourself Five minutes and you're almost there Five minutes and you're almost dead Very good Pongo- one for @Major Isewater
  12. I once sat opposite David Russe on a train from TM to Paddington. We talked the whole way there about all things BCFC and he was an interesting chap. I wrote to him several weeks later when he failed to sign Robert Fleck with him stating the club had no money despite initially saying we would try and sign him permanently. @Davefevs- there is a brilliant podcast on BBCSounds with Craig Irving-"sacked in the morning" three episodes so far Pulis, Holloway and Redknapp. Brilliant and fascinating listen with behind the scenes stuff which is a real eye opener. Also laugh out loud stories. Recommend any footie fan to listen.
  13. I fully appreciate that you're on half term but it doesn't mean you should just abandon everything you're expected to be learning. "I want" as opposed to "i wont". A sentence should be started with a capital letter and if you want to say wont then it's won't...as in write one hundred lines: "I won't try to copy Robbored".
  14. Probably illegal now on the grounds of health and safety or some European directive. I used to get my kids a curry when we lost so I only really had money to spare when Steve Cotterrill was Manager!
  15. You're all old cynics- you lot deserve to be sent to bed with no tea.
  16. The Forest match will live long in my memory and not just because we threw the game away in the last 2 minutes having come so close to ending what is a 17 match winless home run. The atmosphere was pretty good and having only a few days before watched men v boys in the Bournmouth game, it was great to see us compete and often look a much better team or, at least, see a team who looked worse than us for a lot of the match. As we got to about 85 mins at 1-0, I couldnt take my eyes off the scoreboard just willing the final minutes away but as the time showed 90- boom- penalty and you know the rest. Gutted didnt cover it. As soon as the second goal came, we headed for the exits along with everyone else. As we were passing fans coming down from the South stand, there was a boy aged maybe 6 or 7 who was crying and his face streaked with tears. It looked like he'd just learnt that the family pet had been put down. He was devastated and it brought a lump to my throat. I thought about this on my way back to the car and actually felt happy that we still have young fans so deeply passionate about our football club that it affects them in this way. A lad that age has not had a lot to celebrate as a young fan of BCFC but there he was at 10 p.m. crying because his team had lost from a winning position. We might have a board and coaching set up who have some big questions to answer but despite all this the future of our club is pretty bright if we are still producing fans like this young kid who clearly loves his team.
