  1. Haha. I ended up watching Police Academy the other week.
  2. Never heard of Modern Toss!!! Start with Space Argument before you move on to Drive By Abuser. Mini SCENES a plenty!
  3. Haven't read it in yonks. Must make a point of picking up a copy next time I'm in the newsagents! Modern Toss is my juvenile publication of choice these days.
  4. You'd be surprised. A lot of people are scared to buy them. The other week for example, I went to B&Q to look at outdoor solutions and some bloke in orange asked me if I wanted 'decking'. I got the first punch in and made good my escape, but with aggressive pensioners standing guard over outdoor seating solutions, it's no surprise some people fib.
  5. Technically, you could make it up. But I am going to choose to believe you.
  6. Can imagine the bantz now... Call that a patio set? You wanna come up the Mem if you want to see a real patio set.
  7. Having read another of his posts, he claimed to earn a good wage and work 60 hours a week. I'm sure earlier in this thread someone posted details from companies house that suggested his second hand grot device shop was hardly successful.
  8. Don't know how to link to individual posts on Gaschat but one of the posts on there http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/10882/supporters-club?page=2 Suggests that their breakeven figure would now require gates of 15,000 Now, I'm no Vorderman but.....
  9. Read that the blue few have a supporters club meeting with the board this evening. Hopefully more laughs and japes tomorrow as half of them swallow whatever line they are fed and the rest remain cautious.
  10. Looking at the Rovers forums, there is discontent brewing. A lot of them have seen beyond the evolution theme of the investment and are now questioning all manner of things. The training ground, interest payments and lack of investment in the first team. I reckon the January window could be double amusing. By then they should have run out of credit, be in a position where that Bodin lad prepares to go on a free and the reality of their training ground and academy plans finally bite the dust.
  11. I remain to be convinced that @bert tann is a true blue. His (or her) dips of interesting information provide some substance but nothing overly revealing. Bert, if you would like to share your credentials - in complete confidence - by way of a PM I would be interested in hearing from you, even if you can't be completely candid.
  12. Maybe he'd already had enough of Christmas following a number of visits to the Grotto.
  13. Over 500 away on a Tuesday night to an unbeaten team IS impressive.
  14. Not empty seats. Those people upgraded to 'the police stable' suite. Prime punching spots for full time.
  15. Well I for one think we should be sympathetic to our spectrum dwelling neighbours. 4-0 down at half time, and with several thousand locked outside unable to see them implode. Have you no compassion?
  16. Gutted for a bit, and then they would have tried to take legal action. Probably against Wycombe first.
  17. On the plus side, at least they won't go out to a non league side this year. Which is an improvement on the last 2 years.
  18. They really must be on a sticky wicket with the way they carry on. Racism, violence, animal punching, flares being let off, Santa's grotto. Still, I'm sure they have justification.
  19. On the plus side, they didn't upset their chairman by over celebrating a goal today. Punching a horse is fairly standard.
  20. Apparently they have a new pie supplier. A company based in Brighton. Which, purely by complete coincidence, is the location where the bloke who organised the pie tasting last worked.
  21. I'd be surprised if that was the case; sounds like the problem is on their main terrace rather than around the ground, so I don't imagine they would look to close that. No idea what the capacity of each tent is, but if they knocked 10% off they probably wouldn't notice any difference in attendance as they don't sell out.
