  1. I think the advice from the crowd has always been to use a baseball bat...."on the ed"

Now I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure that's not going to improve the players well being. Never the less I've included it in my application form as my preferred method of treatment for cramp and Bristol Rovers FC have informed me that I've already been short listed or the role. Wish me luck.

Sorry ..... but I am just back from the interview and they offered me the job ....

  2. COURT 16

    Before MRS JUSTICE PROUDMAN

    Wednesday, 24 June 2015

    At half past 10

    GENERAL LIST

    HC-2014-000580 Gledhill & anr v Arnold

She's busy tomorrow so looks like another day of nailbiting for Nick and his buddies...

    Probably explains why ....

Darrell Clarke taking time to land the "right players"

Bristol Rovers boss Darrell Clarke is expecting a flurry of transfer activity to begin once his squad reconvenes for pre-season training on July 2

...assuming that the judge has given them a favourable verdict by the end of the month ... and assuming that Wonga have not stepped in and taken the Memorial Ground off them

...on the other hand there may just be One Team In Bristol!

  3. higgs2.png

Nick Higgs: "I am Nick Higgs and I demand a judgement NOW! We are Bristol Rovers and we wear the 'famous quarters' and we are in the football league and we need a 30,000 seater stadium for all our fans"

    proudman_150.jpg

Justice Sonia Proudman: "Hmmmmmm ... that's a tricky one. Do I take any notice of the fat man? ... or shall I ignore the angry little ****** and come to a decision in my own time?"

  4. But is known from Dopey Daryl from his Salisbury days, real coup that

He realises what a massive club he is joining ...

"There were other offers on the table from both league clubs as well as conference sides but the opportunity to join Rovers was too big to turn down."

They are in the football league ... don't you know?

  5. Why are they bitter about Wycombe? I must've missed something.

    http://www1.skysports.com/football/live/match/263278/report

...apparently it was all the fault of the Wycombe safety officer!

Rovers never forgive .... Wycombe, Ikea, Bristol City, Sainsbury's, TRASH, The Green Party, The Wellington, All the traders on the Gloucester Road, The Daily Mirror, The Independent .... the list grows day by day ...sorry if I have forgotten anyone

  6. I'm sure this poll is accurate.

    http://gaschat.co.uk/thread/3670/wycombe

"Wycombe supporter here. I can honestly say that Bristol fans are the worst I have ever seen. Their behaviour in general online and in real life is shocking and you still hold a grudge against us for a safety decision made 3 years ago and the fact that we relegated you last year (your fault, not ours). I am not looking forward to when you "visit" Adams Park because despite the rivalry, I fear that our stadium will be smashed to bits. You would be a lot more liked by all football fans if you weren't absolute d.i.c.k.h.e.a.d.s. Please use this advice wisely."

The big question is .... how can they ever stop being absolute d.i.c.k.h.e.a.d.s?

  7. Ever wondered what 40,000 Rovers fans would look like from the air?

Well .... wonder no more ....

Amazing drone footage puts Bristol Rovers open top bus tour in different perspective

  8. ...and even the Independent has had a go as well ....

Bristol Rovers open top bus parade got off to a bad start this morning

    CF1_IksWEAA1AV3.jpg

Thousands lined the streets in west London to see Chelsea parade their Premier League trophy and League Cup on an open top bus.

In Bristol, the story wasn't quite the same.

The two clubs took almost 48,000 fans to the national stadium for the game, but clearly the Rovers half had better things to do on Bank Holiday Monday than see celebrate their team getting back into League Two.

  9. Nick Higgs has taken on the preparation of the open top bus personally in order to save a few quid ...

    bus-front1.jpg

    ...and comments on Twitter ...

I gather Bristol Rovers are having an open top bus tour to celebrate Grimsby's substitute missing a penalty

Bristol City get an open top bus tour around the centre of Bristol. The Rovers get one around Lawrence Hill roundabout? Says it all really!

Bristol Rovers are having an open top bus celebration because they came second in a part time, pub league

Bristol Rovers having an open top bus tour for finishing 2nd in the conference? I hope no one turns up and you look like tourists.

Bristol Rovers celebrating today being "back where we belong". That's League Two

Can't wait for Bristol Rovers parade tour at the Mem! Goodnight Irene will sang a million times!!

  10. If I was Mr Bananarama I would have taken the cup back from them for showing such disrespect for my trophy and booted them out of my league ...

    10088798-large.jpg

... followed by an official apology from the club....

Bristol Rovers players Matty Taylor and Jermaine Easter have today apologised for the fact that a photo of Taylor, with the Play-Off trophy, was posted on a number of social media sites.

The players accept that the photo should not be in the public domain and very much regret any offence caused by its appearance in the public domain.

Before the start of the new season all players will be reminded, by the Football Association, of their responsibilities when using any social media site and the club will be monitoring all accounts very closely to ensure that individuals use their accounts sensibly and responsibly.
