  1. And to congratulate their right back for that excellent save with his right hand off the line...

    6 Subs

I absolutely do agree with you. Unfortunately, Colin won't agree with us...

    6 Subs

Yeah, I think this is my point. I can understand* if you get a concussion injury after your 5 subs then you get another sub. If it happens with subs still available, then it's just another substitution? *Actually, I don't agree with this as the trainer should be getting you off if you are concussed but I see why some would agree.

No idea who/what IFAB is. Why haven't managers said to players late in the game "Run into their big lump and fall over. When you get up, claim you are seeing double and love the little tweetie pies flying around"?

    6 Subs

I do. Obviously, concussion, or worse, could be fatal and needs to be dealt with as soon as possible. However, I can't see the difference with respect to substitutions with, for example, someone breaking their leg. Why doesn't that justify an additional substitution?
  6. I'm always surprised with these highlight sections. I was looking forward to seeing Bentley's two top-class saves in the second half as I believe they won us the game (concede one and it's squeaky bum time)... Saying that, I had forgotten Bentley's save in the first half when they had a one-on-one. Looking at these highlights, I'm minded to say Nicky Wells was MoM if it hadn't been for Nicky Massengo.

How does any team in this league get promoted? There must be something to do right as 3 teams get it right each season?
  8. Surely Forest Green Rovers is the obvious place to play the neutral venue. Or Cinderford... ?
  9. Do you watch the Bristol City men's team? ?
  10. I hope you are right. Damn. look what you've done now .... ?
  11. I'm a City fan. It's the hope that kills me...so I'm giving up on hope.
  12. I believe we will be a lower mid-table team with the emphasis on lower. The reasons being: Pearson isn't a very good manager. I'm always surprised by how many think he's good looking at his record from 10 years ago whilst overlooking what is directly in front of them. Our defence isn't very good. People talk about the international Kalas but he has been responsible for some awful defending. Plus, if you think Dasilva is the answer... ? Our midfield isn't very good. We've got some good midfielders. However, they are normally injured and will be injured again for much of this season. Our forward line isn't very good. Weimann had a fantastic season but I'm not convinced he can repeat that. Plus, Martin doesn't have the legs to test defences, and Wells is average. Semenyo is the real-deal but the season momentum will be gone by the time he is back Let's look back next May and see who gets this right. I hope the team is 10 places above where I think we will finish.
  13. Bit harsh. Don't tell me you haven't been looking through a kitchen drawer for those passport photos and come across some old laces and thought "Hmmm, that's a really interesting discovery"?
  14. I have said Semenyo has got better so not really disagreeing with you there. I don't think "a load of our promising youngsters get game time and kick on" has happened. "get game time" perhaps but more through circumstance than Pearson's design. Also, I'm not sure we have definitely stayed up. It would be very surprising to be relegated from here but there is always one team who gets dragged into the relegation fight. Maybe losing tonight wasn't that significant; but losing to Barnsley is!
  15. I saw Semenyo's (friendly) debut and thought "Hmm, here's a player" so he was always likely to improve (many on here thought he was useless). However, I give you Semenyo as a player who has improved under Pearson. Scott is a good player. I'm not sure he's got better though. Likewise for Pring. Massengo I suggest has got worse this season. I also saw his debut and thought again "Hmm, here's a player" but he has regressed firstly under Johnson and then Pearson. So, I'll take the blinkers off and agree that Semenyo playing well is Pearson's one positive. Now, for the negatives....
  16. How many games did O'Leary play, and how many goals did he concede? In the same number of games before Bentley was dropped, how many did he concede?
  17. Someone should make up a song about that: "Always shit on the Welsh side of the border. Because that's where the toilets are. Please make an orderly queue."
  18. I was doing 50 in a 30mph recently. Realised my mistake and applied the brakes. Thanks for the credit for my good driving....
  19. Wasn't that Johnson's question about Tomlin?
