I think it's all because it's transfer window time.. the typical toy throwing time of the year. My club is the worst we didn't get x, y and z players. There's probably a point in there (we should of done more business in the summer) but it's babyish to say the least. You're right though it wasn't by any means perfect but getting a draw at a play off teams ground who have hit the best form in the league is a decent result.

I thought we looked knackered. Going to be a tough set of games coming up. Max had a bad night but all the fans slagging him off have very short memories.

You can't play your best available players every game. It doesn't work like that. There has to be rotation. That's why you have squads and not just 11 players. Sorry to break it to you but you can't just refill their stamina like you would on Fifa or Football Manager.

Don't think it's a one off either. The commentators for the match were wax lyrical about Tolaj who's scored a decent amount this season, Tetek and Stokes and how they've been playing. Jamie Hedges who is Aldershot head of recruitment has done a brilliant job so far recruiting players that haven't quite made it with academies or the lower leagues. He went with Widdrington to Kings Lynn initially from the gas voluntarily helping with recruitment as a fan.

Bromley just equalised. He's definitely got some attributes this lad. Very strong especially for 19, doesn't mind getting stuck in. Can roll his man with ease. Looking to create or shoot on goal where possible. What I've liked more than anything is that he doesn't look fazed considering he's just signed with us. Just playing the game as he should with confidence.

That's true but your not thinking about wages. Everton we're/are big payers. Bournemouth will hover around the 30/40/50 grand a week whereas Everton are hovering around the 80/90/100 grand plus a week on players.

Aren't you criticising the lack of contract for King a little bit too early too. You don't have the benefit at a distance (same as me) what Andy King would be like as a coach. Surely, if he was going to get a new contract this was on the basis of being a coach going forward. As a coach none of us know his capabilities so in that respect how can this be regarded as a negative? There are plenty of promotion winning ex players out there, that doesn't make them excellent coaches.

I can see the logic of course. I'm using head coaches because there will be examples of good coaches without the playing credentials you require. The principle is the same. I'm making more of a point that having football accomplishments doesn't make you a good coach by default. Just seems fans are worried about losing someone who is currently a player, who could be a good coach. I'm not that worried about if, buts and maybes.

Is it really that simple? You have to have done it before to bring credibility and experience that only through having done it they can provide.. I'm not sure that's the case. If so Mourinho, Wenger ect would have never have done what they did based on their playing experience. If so Rooney/Lampard didn't convey through their playing experience and credibility enough surely? I don't think it's that straight forward clearly.

I can't be alone in not being that bothered. I understand concerns about losing the experience in the background, Potentially a good coach ect. We have no idea how good his coaching is or will be. I'm sure he's a great personality with a wealth of experience but who knows if that's worth a wage? We have players who have a wealth of experience already. Vyner has been through all types of adversity at 26. Pring the same. Naismith is an older head. Rob Dickie. Even Knight at his young age has accumulated 200 plus games in Lg1/Championship. I don't think you need to win a Premier League or be an older statesman in the side to contribute to the dressing room or help out the younger players. Time will tell but as he's on a playing wage currently I'm not too bothered and won't read into what we might lose behind the scenes.

Manning or Nige are/we're both doing decent with what they have/had. We're just a bang average side. Not surprising considering the lack of spend over 3 seasons. We needed to spend more in the summer and that was a mistake not doing so. I know fans always want new additions but literally everyone said thought so asides from the club apparently. We went into the season very light and now are trying to 'trade' in the toughest transfer window. Whilst at the same time reiterating the goal of the PL, top 6 squad ect.

It's definitely a valid point although slightly over stated on here. To say nothing is going to happen this season is abit premature although maybe realistic. Surely finishing as high up as possible is good for next season i.e signing other players, momentum carried. We will have a better chance with Twine.
