Id much prefer 3 points against Cardiff than win against Man City. No injuries and a good performance would do me tomorrow.

Anis Mehmeti - Signed 3.5 Year Deal (Confirmed)
YorkshireSection replied to Gol's topic in Football Chat
I have a distant hope that won't be for a while yet, a good end to the season and if we have a realistic chance of challenging next year then maybe he will stay. -

Wow: pace, strength, skilful, can beat a man, two footed and he can finish! There must be a catch! -
My Opa is from Amsterdam he lived through the GHerman occupation, only surviving by his parents sending him to a farm, the only part of the war he talked about was sneaking out of the farm with a friend and hiding on the banks of the river in Arnhem seeing the allied forces knock shit out of the Germans. Wow imagine that, the other part of the war he talked about was being in Dam Square when Amsterdam was recaptured by Canadians. He was my hero, my Opa, best friend and Dad, he died in hospital January 21 after contracting Covid in hospital, even writing this brings me to tears. RIP Daany.

Why do we play with wingbacks if we don’t have any
YorkshireSection replied to Better Red's topic in Football Chat
Why not just revert back to the exciting team that scored goals with an actual strike partnership that is proven, change for changes sake. -
Millwall at home match thread

Conway has not hit a wall, he simply is not as effective without Wells. Why has Pearson broken up such a lethal strike force, its an absolute joke. Semenyo doesn't fit in with the way we play, so don't play him, revert to what worked so well. After Blackburn away I genuinely thought play offs maybe are realistic with a bit of luck, now Im thinking relegation maybe with Pearson trying to fit Semenyo in, I just don't get it, does he not like Wells? -

Could try pairing him with Wells, don't understand breaking up what was the leagues most dangerous and fruitful strike partnership, a joke!!!! -

Not to mention breaking up a brilliant strike force to fit in Semenyo! -

Why are we not playing Conway & Wells together, they formed a partnership that we've probably not had since Bob & Rob, they were giving defences nightmares, absolutely ridiculous. -

If we could defend we may have done something this season. -

Estimated away contingent? -
Im lucky enough to have bumped into Luke a few times in one of my neighbourhood restaurants and once in my local CO-OP, Ive nothing but good things to say about him, a lovely guy and a top footballer. I remember grabbing hold of him at Bradford after securing promotion and telling him "you will be playing premier league one day lad", he was so easy to watch, taking the ball out of defence, time after time waltzing past players, he could defend as well! Well he's premier league now and where is Mr Johnson ......

Personally, I LUVZ EM, but yeah no intention of taking one to a game, too bloody old!

Was just thinking the same, this few years have seen some real City legend pass onto the other side. RIP STONEY, you will be a great loss.

Gregor McGregor - Lee Johnson Interview (Merged)
YorkshireSection replied to AshtonRobin21's topic in Football Chat
Lee Johnson, that's not a transfer rumour, jeez could you imagine him now............I need to lie down!!!!! -
We've always had a bad reputation, where have you been for the last 40 years,.

There was 260/280 in that photo tops, never 650!

I actually thought it was a tactic by letting all those balls into the box, not getting tight to your man, thus letting him cross at will, it was so blatantly obvious. Lets hope this gets addressed in the summer transfer window, if we could tighten the defence up, well who knows.............

Completely agree, I for one am glad to have a player who busts a gut for his wages every week. A top pro, who's experience and nouse will be a good example for the youngsters to follow. Well earned Chris.
