Think there’s more to this than meets the eye. You can’t ever condone such an assault, of course not, but if the rumoured reasoning is true then let’s just say some people on here may have reacted similarly…………I get 95% on here are saints and can cast the first stone but (massive if) rumours are accurate I can understand why it happened.

Quite a few comments on here saying we shouldn’t be losing to Hull and ought to be beating Wigan. Not sure why some fans think that way tbh especially in our league.

I had to laugh at the Blackburn fan who described us as a big physical side who were allowed to kick them out of their stride and play on the break…….was he doing the Poznan all game?

Good defending by Vyner and Naismith. All caused by Atkinson getting caught.

It would be very good mitigation for not selling a player to cover any shortfall........

That will be the acid test. Will we retain the same threat and can we cut out daft mistakes that WILL get punished by the likes of Burnley, Norwich and Watford. That said if the style of play allows us to get enough results and keeps us away from treading water that will do me for this season. Then the FFP gets easier and we can genuinely strengthen the areas needed albeit we will lose 2-3 of our best players..

We have developed a style of play that suits a limited squad, I see it as no more or less than that. Whatever else people say about Nige he IS pragmatic.

He is being pragmatic imo. He is taking the view that with the current set up we will score the goals needed to win enough games to stay out of bother. The danger with trying to be more solid is the goals dry up and our defensive frailties will still be there in some form. If we start losing away games 1-0 rather than drawing 3-3 that will be wrong!!

If I was in charge everyone would be given the day off today. Phones off, no access to e-mails, **** ‘em.

Yeah, no doubt a fit and firing Kalas sees Vyner on the bench but overall he has done a very good job "filling in". We are a car crash waiting to happen at the back sometimes but the consistency in selection is also helping us to at least keep "some" clean sheets as opposed to "hardly any" last season. It's all moving forward atm!!

That sums it up. The passes he plays into midfield make us a far better team that can play on the front foot and as a result we look like scoring loads of goals this season. We all know the downside and we also all know that if Naismith could do it all without any of the mistakes..................guess which club he wouldn't be playing for.

There were a couple of occasions where he got done trying to "pinch" the ball and a couple of sloppy passes but overall a decent performance. Still trying to work out how we got through that 90 without conceding though!! That said I was always confident that if they equalised we would have gone up the other end and won the game at some point.

After one or two games this season I just hope he turns up……….

Yep, a manager who actually WON something. As a club we don't do winning, it's generally second place when we get promoted. It wasn't only winning either, we absolutely steamrollered that division not to mention the added bonus of a great day out and Paint Brush Trophy win. Wasn't a nice enough human being to be given the opportunity to see the job through which is rather ironic when you consider that we are (correctly) allowing a "spiky" character the time needed to sort out the mess caused by a few lovely human beings...............

You are literally one in a million lad. By that I mean out of one million Gas (conservative estimate excluding car park lock outs) you are literally the only one that can see good old Joey is a total ? regardless of results.

From his interview today Nige doesn’t believe in rotating the forward line.

What we are showing is that if the front three do the right things, make the right runs etc. they don’t need to be seen as the best individuals by others. Look at Conway in the last couple of weeks, one run where he peels to the far post, tap in, holds his position at the near post, free header, another run he attacks the near post, another tap in (albeit a great finish too). That movement and decision making, if he keeps it up, is a wide players dream because all they have to do is hit “areas”.

I don’t take xG as fact but it wasn’t too long ago we would have been right at the bottom of that table.

I want to see more from HNM. The talent is there and the time has come to make the next step and not “allow” some games to pass him by. It looks like hie is staying for now so I want to see a goal threat and assists output that at least matches Scott for example who wasn’t great himself Saturday but got an important assist and could and should have scored. If the lad wants to make the next step up and get regular minutes at that level he needs to add this to his game. Being energetic, skilful, neat and tidy is a good thing but he also needs to produce.

We play the most “open” game in the Championship to suit the personnel available. I think that’s a plain fact. The obvious flaw in that strategy in terms of finishing top half of the league is we need better defensive players who make less individual errors to make it work. However if Nige can make it work “enough” to avoid looking over our shoulders I would take a mid table finish watching this style of football (and the frustrations that go with it) over anything that has preceded it over the last 5 years……..all day long. When the FFP situation eases there might be a lot to look forward to.
