  1. Definitely with the inconsistency our squad (we struggle to be consistent over 90 minutes let alone a run of games)...........but no point in getting wound up about it. I suspect we will also replicate our Preston performance and contrive not to win on at least one more occasion.
  2. I said in another thread that our squad isn't good enough to be both tight defensively and create chances. It's one or the other with us and rightly or wrongly Pearson and Fleming have gone for the "lets try and score two to three goals a game and see how many points it gets us" option........................it's certainly made going to the Gate a more enjoyable experience in recent times (last night being an exception in those last 25 minutes), I'll say that much. We were so open at times last night it was crazy but you pays your money and takes your choice with our squad.
  3. Great description of Vyner there. He's not shit like many make him out to be BUT as you say he's got one or two mistakes in him EVERY GAME at this level. Clearly has an issue focusing. The type of player you could see going down a level and bossing it. O'Dowda is a nothing player to me. That "effort" he produced last night would be verging on sackable if any of us turned up and replicated that in a normal job.
  4. Certainly the way we played the three at the back last night it was noticeable that whenever we turned possession over there were massive holes for Reading to run or pass into. The fact that they are pretty shite and looked like nailed on relegation material regardless of points deductions was definitely to our advantage because I think a top 10 side would have spanked us given that space to play in. I can only put it down to Massengo going off meant that areas that should have been plugged were not getting plugged. I thought Williams was a real mixed bag last night but totally understandable when you consider his lack of game time. I'm also hoping that win gives us a bit of confidence back and we can return to Cardiff, Luton and Preston-like performances sooner rather than later.
  5. Spot on. Due to the limitation of our squad if we play a more expansive game we just don't have the tools to keep the door shut at the other end and conversely if we go more defensive we barely muster a shot let alone look like scoring a goal. The management have obviously decided to go down the "we need at least two goals to get a result so we'll make sure we score two goals most weeks" route!!
  6. Plus the whole of last season!!!
  7. I would have rested him last night but credit to him he had his best game from a goalkeeping perspective (shots, crosses and the like, forget the distribution) since coming back in the side imo. Positive last night.
  8. Given he hadn’t played for about a year I think the lad deserves a few games before judging him but definitely something there imo.
  9. In fairness to Keith Stroud he is normally incompetent to both teams not like the clown we had tonight.
  10. Fleming will be speaking to him, guarantee it.
  11. Poor play is poor play whether it’s the bright young thing who is going places or the whipping boy, doesn’t matter. Nobody is saying that Scott has to go through players but at least affect the other player rather than literally bottling out, that’s what it was.
  12. Who said he’s not a quality player? He pulled out of a tackle which led to us conceding. If Vyner did that you would all be wanting him hung.
  13. Scott btw, ******* shits out of a tackle with Ince and 5 seconds later Coco gives a pen. Not having that and Fleming shouldn’t either.
  14. I don’t hate him at all but won’t pretend he is good enough for us either. Best he leaves the club for his own benefit.
  15. Last half hour was a complete shit show with experienced players letting the youngsters down but **** it, we won and that’s all that counts tonight ?
  16. That's the aim although we also have to be realistic. In our position to "buck the trend" will take time and that is 100% on the Owner who gave Swiss Toni so much freedom and support to build his own little empire and royally **** us right up. I know the bloke can do no wrong in the eyes of many on here but his support of Swiss is the biggest **** up he's ever made.......and on the football playing side of things he's made more than a few. And like I said on another thread the same people in the "Steve can do no wrong" camp are so blind that they simply won't see the blatant irony of their snide digs at the current manager...................the bloke that Steve isn't going to sack any time soon.
  17. Not a great spectacle for African football. I would go as far as saying Egypt are anti-football.
  18. Egypt are filthy to watch. I wouldn’t cross the road and pay a quid to watch them.
  19. He wanted far too much money for us yet Swiss and the Owner decided we would benefit from him leaving on a free for some reason.
  20. He’s gotta go. Whether it’s his fault, the clubs fault, whatever, the kid just doesn’t perform on a consistent basis for us. Needs a fresh start elsewhere and if he smashes it then so be it and good luck to him.
  21. The two coppers need hauling into the office for a reminder of what their job is. If that idiot had a knife which there was no way of knowing when he ran on they were clearly prepared to let two minimum wage stewards deal with it!!
  22. Anyone see that Leicester fan swing punches at the Forest players. Lucky the stewards got hold of him cos that Davis was going to lamp him……..,.all this while two coppers stand there like gormless farts.
