  1. We'll probably see a few decent performances between now and the end of the season but to see a more consistent period of "ups" we need better players in certain positions.
  2. That's my point. He started off his run showing he could get the team playing from the back but the simple fact is you cannot have a goalkeeper in who lets a minimum of two goals go past him every single week and is averaging three conceded per game. That's where Max is right now. He's got to be pulled out of it.
  3. Whether you think he's the answer or not he certainly isn't going anywhere.
  4. Agreed, he's had an extended opportunity to show what he can do and unfortunately for Max he has not proven himself to be a competent Goalkeeper at the level so far. Fine with his feet but you do have to make saves, take crosses, communicate and organise a back 4 too.
  5. I'm sure he really isn't interested..............................jesus wept.
  6. After 8 assists in circa 150 matches there was certainly little chance of O'Dowda providing an assist.........
  7. He's not doing a fantastic job with the Keepers either................
  8. Although it would be quite funny if such a simple fix to their problems saw them disintegrate into mid-table.....................
  9. Give Wally a call..........he'll give you an engraving job for life out there.
  10. Couldn't get in the Luton side yet when we let him go you would have thought we had just released Prime Pirlo.
  11. Agree totally with that point in the same way that being charged does not mean someone is ipso facto guilty although it certainly indicates they have a case to answer. In terms of Greenwood if that is his voice on the audio people will make their own minds up irrespective of whether or not he passes the charging threshold. Sometimes people are found not guilty in court because their defence barrister has proven beyond all reasonable doubt that they ARE INNOCENT of the charges being tried regardless of the evidence and case the Police/CPS thought they had.
  12. No, it was Mark Crossley…….
  13. Understand where you are coming from. The Goodwillie case is interesting in that he was found "guilty" in a civil case on the "balance of probabilities" a far, far lower threshold than required in Crown Court. It's an awkward truth that if you really were innocent but with a lot of "circumstantial" evidence going against you there is a very high chance you would get convicted in a civil case brought against you. That would apply to many an innocent person who was found not guilty at crown court, if not the majority.
  14. Guess who missed a penalty tonight?!!!
  15. In terms of there being NIL affordable housing on the site itself that may well be a fact but you don't normally end up with that privelege for nothing. It might be less of a cost than what people think is fair but that's another argument........
  16. All joking aside when you look at the level of players at the clubs outside of Celtic and Rangers that should be the case. Our sixth choice centre-half starts every week for Hearts.
  17. Don't disagree with a word you say but the short term job Pearson was given is to keep us in the division which in effect is treading water. He has been given the full three years to get the ship heading in the right direction which is why I laugh when I see "Pearson Out" threads..........absolutely no chance that Lansdown will even consider it unless something mental like 12 defeats in a row happen. He could do worse. Easiest money any Manager will ever earn.
  18. This is common. There are various ways of doing it too. You can pay a contribution, as you say, you could take the hit and just include the percentage of affordable units and on one site I know of fairly central in Bristol comprising numerous blocks they put all of the affordable units in one single lower specification block away from the rest...................
  19. When the guy has to retire aged 22 with joint problems...........................
  20. We have done exactly that but reading a few on here you wouldn't realise it.........
  21. Le Tissier was the best penalty taker of all time...............missed one out of 49 I believe it was. Can anyone guess who was the only keeper to save a Le Tissier penalty?
  22. I'm guessing he will have to make a contribution to BCC instead so that, in theory, they will build affordable units elsewhere? You can't just decide yourself that you are offering NIL and **** Council policy. It is clearly viability (some might use the word greed instead) related (he will be banging out every unit at the going rate instead of 38 of them at an affordable rate) but it's not as simple as saying he's offering nil and the Council have been screwed over. That said, the bloke STUCK UP for Swiss Toni and effectively said the fans didn't know what they were talking about and that's certainly not a comment I will forget in a hurry despite the fact that many will.
